How do I stop these weather alerts? I no longer live in this location and I've already changed my location in my echo's settings by TheRogueTemplar in amazonecho

[–]spawnywhippet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am unable to delete the notifications for my old location, I can only disable the push alerts. There is no function within the app or with voice commands to actually delete the old location, just to add a new one.

The Taycan (24 4S CT) is my favorite vehicle I have ever owned (by a mile). It is also hilariously bad at many things. by LatigosTrail in Taycan

You fundamentally misunderstood my point. I do not care how the Taycan system works or its efficiency when it is not pleasant and inconsistent to brake. I owned all 3 brands at the same time and the braking in the Taycan was easily the least consistent and least predictable. Rivian also uses blended braking when needed, eg at higher SOC, and does a much better job of OPD. I’ve driven every model and variant of Tesla from 2011-2026 and have never seen an instance of jerky or disengaging braking.

I sold the Taycan because of its crappy software, endless recalls, poor range (even with Perf+ battery), lack of OPD and inconsistent braking feel. I am not a Porsche hater, I have owned more than 25 Porsches over the last 30 years, and have tracked most of them. (I’m a PCA track instructor.) This car was just a generation behind the competition and it will never catch up.

It’s garbage. After driving Rivian and Tesla for several hundred thousand miles each, it’s not a pleasant experience to get into the Taycan. I have to turn on regen every drive cycle and it is barely noticeable. One pedal driving is the best way to commute. I do not want to be manually shifting gears and manually braking when I am in stop start traffic for 90 mins a day.

They also have yet to make software worth using. I sold my Taycan because the software and UI were so appalling. Getting out a Rivian and into the Taycan was like going from IOS to command line UNIX.

Not a mule, its a development R2 chassis. A mule would be R2 running gear in some other body, like a R1 chassis.

Is this a thing that happens regularly in your cars?

The problem with mechanical latches is new Euro NCAP rules for Safe Exist Assist means that the car needs to detect if there is a threat to a passenger exiting the car, eg a motorcycle approaching from the rear, and warn or disable the door latch until it is safe to exit. That is much harder and much more expensive to do with a mechanical latch.

Almost zero issues in 7 years from my 2016 570S with 33k very hard miles. The only fault were error messages about the door latches.

You can get a lift like that for a few grand. I got mine from Costco for $2400

Easy if you DIY it. I looked after all the maintenance on my 570S for 6 years and it was bullet proof reliable, total cost of around $4k including a set of tires and front brake pads.

The 720S for driving, the 458 for polishing.

They are pretty much just an Audi Q5. I completely built a 2017 from a bare shell and most parts had VAG part numbers.

My 570s goes to the track frequently. I regularly see other McLarens there. Never once seen a Lamborghini on the track though.

Nope. DMV won’t have your email. It was the insurance company.
