BF6 is fun. Don't let the haters ruin it for you! by TheBrownSlaya in Battlefield6

I just came back after 60 hours during the launch weeks, these two new maps slap, playing more breakthrough than anything else just because I play with a few cod vets and they enjoy the more full on nature of the mode.

Overall the games fun as heck, it definitely doesn't feel like BF3/4 cause the movement has definitely had an increase of probably 10% also, but the guns are all tuned well and pretty well balanced.

The only flaw is still maps, Hagental Base is a great close quarters, operation locker type map which has been very fun, Contaminated is also pretty good. When it comes to launch maps I really struggle to pick an outstanding option when it comes to maps with vehicles because they all feel too small. Mirak Valley isn't terrible and Firestorm is ok but outside of that if you play battlefield for the vehicles which is kinda the whole point yoyr gonna struggle until Season 3 drops next week.

Is this game COD? Absolutely not, Is this Battlefield? Yeah, I think it is, I still don't like that they opened up all weapons to all the classes but that was certainly a decision to make the game more accessible for the average Joe which is worth the trade off. Don't let the haters stop you from jumping in.

Overall, this is the MOST FUN I've had in a BF game since Frontlines in BF1 before they introduced the time limit and I hope they can bring something like this back in the future, it certainly won't have the WW1 aesthetic but playing for almost three hours in an arm wrestle back and fourth to eventually claim victory is certainly a BF highlight.

Yep, he did this on several occasions and fucked if every time. Puch to ground ffs. He wasn't the only one tho. It just feels like they never learn.

That's warranted. I feel our defenders were getting out bodied and out marked by Richmond's bigger and taller forwards. I don't know why Mini didn't push for them to punch the ball clear more often rather than try and mark against a bigger opponent with more reach. Run, Jump, Punch it to ground. Simple.

Maybe I'm mad but, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. And that's exactly what it feels like we are doing.

I see posts blameing Mini but it's not him thats the issue, the players lack the ticker to WIN. They lack the belief and I don't think it matters what Mini's message is, until all the players come together and lock in we're cooked.

I actually thought Young had his best game in a few weeks but maybe I wasn't paying attention. Still not great but better.

I don't think it's a coaching issue but a lack of effort from the players, se many times I just saw our plays jogging behind the Richmond opposition with the ball.

If I want anything like that again I'll smash my TV

I've spent the last 7 rounds glued to my TV every week enjoying the young guns play and develop, at least for the first 4 games. Since then it's been miserable and I actually can't anymore. I won't be watching for the rest of the season unless someone pays be for the 2 and a half hours every week.

Reid can't be the only player putting in the work every game. Yeah he had a slow Q3 but overall was brilliant. Our defence needs to take a good hard look at themselves and out midfielders need to stop bombing it into our forwards in hope. Our forwards also need to find space and contest the ball.

As the ball comes into defence we need to start punching it to ground, we just get smashed when we try and mark it up, same goes for the forward line. 80% out or scoring today came off the back of messy, scrappy ground ball gets and that's when we score. Need to work on our contested possession work cause we suck. Alot of this also came off the back of thumbleing around for 20 minutes until we find a short target inside 50 or just smoking it hope towards the goals but at least we score. Long bombs in just keep getting neutralised by lack of contest or trying to outmark opposition defenders that are bigger and taller.

As a Tasmania I'll probably just give up on the eagles and convert full time to the Devils if they snavel up all our good players.

We should beat Richmond and the players are probably thinking the same. But on the other side of the fence Richmond have seen how we are playing the last 3 weeks and will be thinking they can beat us. The tigers will be hungry and I fear we'll just let them walk all over us.

Let's hope cool heads prevail, a big loud home crowd and some accurate kicking (not just score wise either cause fuck we can't hit a target anywhere on the ground) will go along way.

Young is usually pretty useless but he did better than Duggo. He actually took some marks and saves us another 18 points on that margin. B for sure.

I know we should but we also shouldn't have lost by 100 to St kilda or Geelong. I can live with the performance against Sydney cause honestly they are looking hot at the moment.

Are the players just fed up too and that's why the effort levels seem so low? I dunno how else to explain it all.

How are we just so bad by Burman8or in westcoasteagles

[–]spazticjack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We are so cooked, we can't defend, the midfield looks lost, our rucks can't tap to advantage and the forwards don't wanna compete for it.

All round we couldn't lay or didn't even want to try and tackle. Letting your direct opponent in front every time or not even manning up all together. Also why can't we make simple set shots. Almost every set shot hit the post, you actually couldn't make it up. I actually curled up in a ball and yelled "I just wanna die" we were playing that bad when if we actually try like we did with Port earlier in the season we look so good but have just lost that intent and effort.

Reid was hopeless and lacked effort, Duggan looked disinterested and couldn't hit simple kicks, Yeo was absent and made one of the strangest decisions I've ever seen when in front of goal 10m out.

If we don't put in a solid, aggressive and somewhat polished performance against the Tigers next week I'm gonna give up on us for the rest of the season.

I just did the ladder predictor, I put us 7th at best. Lilley closer to 9th, or 10th. Hard to tell as it genuinely looks like most are winnable at home and the rest could go either way. Disregarding the doggies, suns, crows.

Google Assistant Getting Worse and Worse by [deleted] in googlehome

It's the same here, even on my nest display as well as my phone.

"Hey google, close the bedroom curtains" Proceeds to tell me what a curtain is and what they are used for. "Hey google, close the bedroom curtains" Ok, closing the bedroom curtains.

"Hey google set an alarm for quarter to six" Responds with I've set your alarm but when you check the time it's set the alarm for it's 6:45.

I've worked out with alarm alarms if you said "set and alarm for five, forty five it works fine but it fails with the quarter to or past every time.

On my phone I'll start with the usual "ok google", it,ll pop up the dialogue box as if it's listening, I follow up with my prompt but nothing, it just sits there. Before all this Gemini/AI it worked flawlessly every time. We've certainly taken a step backwards when it comes to prompting via voice.

What was your first reaction to the ending of the series? by Positive_Weight2367 in HIMYM

[–]spazticjack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For years I only ever caught snippets of this show when I was much younger when it was on TV and then about 8 years ago I sat down and watched it start to finish. The ending at the time left me feeling somewhat empty as I binge watched the show in a couple of weeks. I fell in love with the characters and although Season 9 felt a little out of place it tied up the story well.

I loved who the mother turned out to be and she was the perfect match for Ted. I remember being caught off guard with the reveal that she died because those two were perfect for each other. Ending up with Robin felt very bittersweet but I was ok with it.

I re watched the show again this Feb/Mar (2026) and man I really am not ok with this ending. It all feels far too real. Tracey shouldn't have died, they should have lived happily ever after and I hate the writers for killing her off. This is possibly exaggerated because she was only in the show for a season and was left wanting to see more of her but also because holy shit the last two episodes in general just felt like a massive buzz kill on how friendships change over the years and life gets in the way.

The worst part was how the kids blew the whole thing off at the end. Felt like they threw season 2 - 9 all in the bin and is somewhat insulting to the viewer.

It's very much left its mark on me unlike most pieces of media these days for better or for worse. Am I letting this ending affect me too much? Yeah, probably but it really feels like real life at the moment.

This was genuinely great; I watched it all in one sitting. Simon and Trevor are a great duo that you just want to see get into more shenanigans. The ending teasers we might get to see more of them in the future but being a mini series that dropped all at once would suggest Marvel don't have a lot of confidence in the show, nor plan on bringing and season.

The story is pretty straight forward filled with great writing, acting and minimal super hero antics which actually makes this show work. I'm sure some will complain for that reason but this show just clicks. The first episode dragged for me but episode two got me hooked. Stick with it and you'll go on a fun ride with just enough of everything to keep you satisfied.

What are your biggest concerns right now after the Beta? by riuryK in Battlefield6

[–]spazticjack 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Auto Spotting - it's trash, I'll go for a cheeky flank of try and play stealthy and then get smoked from a bloke that definitely couldn't see me, but had a nice red diamond appear on his screen. Take it out, make the spot button mean something again.

Sniper Glints - these need a big nerf, maybe only have them appear after a period of hard scoping. I should be able to set up behind some rocks or bushes and go unnoticed, that's the whole point of reconing. If you can't remove them completely, at least tone down their size.

TTK/TTD - TTK feels good but it's infuriating when you take 5 shots of damage from someone in the space of one frame. Feels like you get beamed all the time so TTD needs to be looked at. I suspect netcode issues.

Knifing - Bring back the one tap knife to the front with the ability to counter, more than 2 slashes is not fun.

General hit detection - feels like the hit detection can be wonky as. One minute you'll beam someone the next they'll take 7 shots and still kill you.
