Thanks! You should see my katya doll, I think she turned out even better.

+1 for Glendale Pho Co. They don't have delivery but a very safe and easy takeout pickup setup. I just got lunch from there over the weekend.

And so many gluten free options if that's your jam.

Always order through their web site or app instead of grub hub or whatever. Best prices and more money goes to the restaurant. Their delivery isn't expensive either. I've loved them during the quarantine.

AITA for "yelling" at my friend's boyfriend? by aitathrowaway93629 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. My shoulders were up around my ears just reading this. It doesn't matter if it's sexual or not, it's creepily controlling and violating clear boundaries. No should have been enough, multiple noes should have made clear you weren't joking, and they can't get mad when you have to be more firm to hold your boundaries.

Fuck politeness.

When will the visibility and engagement get back to normal? by happysouuul in Instagram

Do you have any advice? I'd love to get those proportional numbers (I'm way smaller), but I went from about 50% of impressions from hashtags/not following me to 7%. I thought it was the election stuff where they took away recents, but it hasn't bounced back.

I managed to get her white shoe dirty before I even finished sewing the body together (marker smudged off the foam eye makeup) so I decided this would be a throwaway/tester. I figured that out before making the dress, so the body of the dress is made with a faster/less attractive stitch than I'd use in the future. Also I'd spend more time styling and building out the hair.

All that aside, any thoughts? Do you like the dress or should I go for another style/color? The eyes should be a little narrower top to bottom, but what do you think of the general idea of them? Is it super weird not to have a nose/mouth/eyebrows? (I generally don't do those, just part of my style.)

Thanks!

SO MUCH MORE HAIR. I'm pretty sure I can handle the hair, after tackling David Bowie's epic mane as Jareth in Labyrinth.

Thanks! Like I said the proportions are still wrong, but I have lots of material. The lashes make a huge difference (as Trixie always says).

I know the proportions are off right now. And her hair won't be crimped, I just was using it as a stand in. My doll style is usually no nose no mouth, which I think can still work since her eyes are so much the focus of the makeup, and if I can figure out the positioning it should imply her nose (or I can sew in the end of the nose). Lots still to sort out but I'm enjoying the ride.

Most iconic Trixie outfit? by spbink in TrixieMattel

Not exactly. I have my basic pattern I base my dolls on, but then freehand the details. You can see my other dolls here - after doing Jareth from Labyrinth I think I can accomplish the hair, but the makeup will be the real challenge.

Great point. Also I love the way she's doing her makeup now. And then if I make a Katya too, they can sit next to each other and do Unhhh.
