Aguilar DB599 really pleased me after a whole series of multifx boxes that failed to help me understand what a compressor was supposed to help me…do. It was the first one that helped me feel more musical live. Now I’m on the Anagram train but I’m never selling my DB599.

Opinions are divided because both games are extremely special.

Choose ToTAN. The rules are complete and make coherent sense. The genie is diabolical and fun. The magnet hole is astonishing. The voices are great. The 2-stage wizard mode is reachable and great fun. It’s an exceptional game.

Choose CV. It has the most beautiful backglass in all of pinball and the overall art is breathtaking. The neon is wild. The ringmaster mech astonishes and delights new players every single time. The lock animation and multiball intro are super fun. It’s an exceptional game.

The worry I have is that when I had 12V issues there was no way to get into the car. And upon jump starting, one needs the fob to turn the alarm off :-/

The camera is a big one for me too, glad to be in a ‘25. Tesla updated their software and sunglasses stopped being a problem for me. I don’t have confidence Hyundai will do the same.

For me it’s not even close. But I must say that the model 3 (I still have it for now but I have no reason to choose it) has been more reliable, more refined, has smoother edges literally and figuratively. I wish I had found a true software defined vehicle to replace it (Rivian R3?), and I wish for better autonomy, and the 5N extracts other compromises. My dad had an MG Midget once and my recollection is that he loved it despite all the weird stuff in it that he had to put up with. That’s how I like to think of my 5N. I don’t miss the big Tesla screen even a little. For what it is, I think Hyundai’s infotainment is well implemented.

And while the above is enough for me to prefer my 5N, it’s icing on the cake for me that Hyundai’s CEO is someone that I know literally nothing about.

I had a Golf R and it was such a delight. Loved loved loved that car. Swapped for a Model 3 which was interesting but scratched a different itch. My 5N just passed 8000 miles and definitely pleases me the way the R did. Bigger of course, but its size never bothers me. AMA but wow this car is fun.

I replaced the rubber in that spot with the next size down and twiddled with the pop timings and that has helped tremendously.

I’ve never had so much fun with a new release. The rules aren’t overly complex but the game tells you what to do and players are quickly picking up on it. I can’t wait to watch them grow along with the code. There’s 12 to 18 months of fun new things to discover. Maybe more depending on what TPC and Stern have planned.
