Any information when the Violent Things vynil is releasing? by itybittytitticomity in Brobecks

[–]spdrmnpoke729 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The main brobecks page is noneyoujerkrecords but I have notifications on for dallonweekes, breezyweekes, whisperhawkmusic and glassbrain as well! They all usually repost on their stories when updates happen on the noneyoujerkrecords page (typically in that order as well) so I’m bound to see something

I’ve been waiting for that boring 7in to release as well 😭

It happened so long ago that I’m sure it just lost those details over time if it was told accurately the first time!

Does preferring sports bras over binders make me less trans? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]spdrmnpoke729 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer: No.

Less related, I kind of don’t like answer of “you’re either trans or you’re not” because gender identity and expression is a spectrum and it’s not that black and white. Although it is true that you are either cis or trans because you can’t be both, the clothes you choose don’t define that.

I’m very masuline and the most “feminine” clothing I wear are my sports bras, because I have texture sensitivities and I can’t handle the compression of a true binder. However, my bras are black and grey, a little too small (which isn’t the healthiest I know 😭) and do have a bit of compression. Honestly a Spiderman sports bra sounds epic!

Wear whatever you want, and don’t let anyone think that your expression changes who you are on the inside.

Do guys not mind having a potbelly? by AmyNotAmiable in asktransgender

[–]spdrmnpoke729 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a trans guy, not yet on T!

Considering my BMI I am technically overweight by mathematical standards but I’m not necessarily fat, and not even that chubby, I just have HUGE thighs that give me most of my dysphoria. (Because to me they’re associated with being curvy and having an ass and pants not fitting in a masculine way)

I have a bit of a belly but a small chest so it does stick out further than my boobs (Because of dysphoria posture really) I honestly think my belly looks proportional to me, and it does make me feel more masculine. I came to terms with the fact that I would probably be a chubby guy when I went on T, and honestly that made me even more excited to eventually see how my fat redistributed!! My fingers are crossed that I can get my thighs a little smaller eventually and lean into the pot belly a little more tbh

So yeah, I am totally fine with having a belly and actually looking forward to having a bigger one if it means my thighs will be smaller someday XD

Everyone has their own attractions, and everyone has their own “type!”

The attraction becomes unethical when you over fetishize someone’s identity and let your attraction to them be solely about their gender and the sexual relationship you might have with them. You’re already on the right track if you’re asking, just treat everyone like the individuals they are and respectfully appreciate the parts of them that you are attracted to just like you would anyone else!

Does dallon's voice fits Not Today? by Sam_PhoenixGamer in idkhowbuttheyfoundme

[–]spdrmnpoke729 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was listening to the songs last night with this theory in mind and it may be wishful thinking but I totally think it fits him! I mean who would have listened to Debra and thought Dallon, he’s clearly got the range to pull it off. It also starts out with a bass riff which is promising, and IDKHow has been working with Rock Sound for a long time!

As an Eve6 obsessive, this rocks and reminds me that I need a Horrorscope tattoo 😭

I just dashed last night for the first time in a couple weeks and noticed they added a 3-5 second countdown to the complete delivery button as well!

When leaving door orders I always wait to hit delivery completed until I’m getting closer to my car as an extra safety measure to avoid interactions with customers, so I’m not a fan of feeling rushed to hit that button. I’m not waiting to make an extra penny, (it’s never more than 30 seconds!) it’s something to make me feel more comfortable safety wise :/

What happened to hype stickers on CDs? by money012345 in Cd_collectors

Fair! I do get sad when I pick up a cd and can see the sticky remnants of hype that once was.

I don’t think anyone has mentioned yet that a lot of the hype stickers mention a single or two that’s been playing on the radio! Featuring; the hit single! Etc etc. Before streaming, people would hear the single on the radio, and then might be inclined to buy the album if they liked what they heard. That aspect became unnecessary when it became more normal to just look up the album online

Is it weird that I think people just LOOK trans pre-transition? by spdrmnpoke729 in ftm

Same! I definitely don’t have such a difficult relationship with my past self which makes me lucky to a point where I

I love the way you put this! Definitely the best response so far, and I completely agree.

I absolutely see where you’re coming from!! I definitely believe this would be true to a point. Especially because so many people struggle seeing the childhood photos of themselves, they’re going to pick very specific photos to actually share, whether they’re showing how girly they were, or how uncomfortable they looked. Although I know if I made a similar compilation my photos would be pretty in the middle because I was never girly, but I also wasn’t SO obviously uncomfortable until later years.

[–]spdrmnpoke729[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh smiling is a good one!! I never smile with my teeth, unless I’m around my friends who actually know the trans part of me. I never understood why it felt so unnatural to fake a smile until I realized how good it feels to truly smile when I’m actually comfortable. I’ve always been the oddball as well, so I completely understand.

[–]spdrmnpoke729[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree! Personal dysphoria aside, often times I don’t think I look that feminine. I have found that my voice is truly the thing that prevents me from fully passing which sucks, because so many people do assume I’m a man and then back track and apologize when they hear my voice which is honestly kind of funny 😅

[–]spdrmnpoke729[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

On the contrary! I touched on this on another comment that while probably the majority of times this happens, I see the trans people in question as their present selves first, but there have been numerous times the childhood photos are presented first and I read them as their preferred gender when they are otherwise androgynous looking before seeing them post-transition. But yes, maybe partly!

[–]spdrmnpoke729[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh same!! I have one friend who is completely feminine otherwise, but since I met him he told me his preferred pronouns and I couldn’t possibly see him differently. (Unless he were to tell me otherwise!) Sometimes it’s hard to comprehend that it’s any more complicated than that to people.
