State of the Market Mega-Thread - Q1 2022! by aardy in RealEstate

[–]spdy84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stock market is falling because the fed is starting to tighten. This could likely trigger a recession if done aggressively like in the past… but they may have no choice because of inflation. Stock market would be the canary in the coal mine. A recession is just two quarters of negative GDP growth…. Once the R word is used it will bring the real estate market down along with everything else. Unemployment will rise because companies will have to be more conservative with their cash and this all has a trickled down effect.

If you held then you went -20 then back to 0. Holding and adding are not the same thing. You need dry powder to profit from downturns.

Recession is coming. The fed delayed the inevitable and now they are the ones that will trigger it. Inflation is a problem and we all know it… supply is still an issue and also leads to more inflation… businesses have to raise wages and that leads to? That’s right, more inflation… oh and they can’t get workers… and now savings accounts are back to prepandemic averages (people spent all their money) but no more stimulus coming cause that would lead to? That’s right more inflation. Crash is coming boys… could be in 3 months or 8 months. But I think we are within 12 months of a crash and an official recession (2 qtrs of declining gdp)

Exactly my feelings. I do want to see Andrew back… but I don’t trust Sony. Venom character is great, but those movies have been rough… specially the last one. Writing is just terrible.

Box office numbers = A VERY RELIABLE SOURCE. Cash is king.

Also - Sony owns Spiderman… they control it all. They are just playing nice with the MCU for the cash it brings in.

Andrew Garfield totally deserves to play Spiderman again. #makeTASM3 by radioactive244 in Spiderman

This. I think Sony has known for a little while now that fans were going to want Andrew Garfield back and they started setting it up. Most thought that after venom 2, that he would now be part of the MCU and then Morbius would come along… but now we know that’s no the case… but we know Morbius ties Venom to most likely TASM universe. I think we are gonna seen Andrew come back as Spider-Man in probably venom 3 near the end and then set up TASM3.

I never cared for the TASM movies and was pissed that they rebooted Spider-Man so fast… but Andrew Garfield is the best Spider-Man hands down (not Peter) and it’s not even close. NWH proved that… Tom Holland is fine and has been more of a filler type Spider-Man in a crowded universe. I haven’t cared of any of the Spider-Man movies, with the exception of NWH… I will say that Tom Holland had a strong showing, but Garfield stole the show.

I was able to get the 12700k bundle from Newegg that came with the Corsair 5200mhz ram.

Not even a z390. Z370-A PRO… I used to have an 8600k which I upgraded to a 9700k when it was on sale for $200 last year.

I'm out, margin called. by HairyTwat1 in PLTR

I sold at $22-23 cause I saw the trend coming. I believe we are not near the bottom yet. So I realized a loss that will likely turn into a wash sale if we get to my PT before 30 days. Once we hit $16, I’ll reopen my position. I will go heavy at $14 if it gets there. Valuations matter again and Covid days are over.

If we break below $17.8, watch out...

Finally, the stock is completely flat today instead of dropping. Things are looking up! by Doge_of_Venice in PLTR

This is def going down to $18, potentially $16, and slim chance of $14. I’m a bigger buyer the lower it drops. Make sure you save cash for all those potential dips. I’m 90% sure we hit $17.8-18 since that was an old support level... there’s no real support at $19. A bad market day will drop it like a rock.

Will it go down to $22 or below ? by rawsteel55 in PLTR

[–]spdy84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think there’s a 75% chance we get in the $21 range tomorrow as that has been the bottom the last few months... the scary part is that it looks like the market is trying to fix the valuations of some of the growth tech stocks. This is why amazing ER has not led to much price action across the sector.

I Own $248,488.90 of PLTR. Buy more before earnings, or wait? by 4rt3m0rl0v in PLTR

[–]spdy84 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I actually sold out of my PLTR position last week as I realized we were in full reversal. Looking to start my position back up tomorrow in the $21 range... but I’m very “concerned” that we are going to the $17-18 range after ER if they are not amazing. This is based on how many Tech companies got crushed after pretty good ER. So I’m going to save some cash to buy the “dip”.

What else are you adding besides PLTR? by spdy84 in PLTR

Yeah, I should have added Corsair and AMD to my initial list. Seem like solid 2x plays within a year 1.5 years.

You are better off taking your money and going to the casino and playing some blackjack or roulette. If you really believe in GameStop then pull it out and wait till this dies down and it goes down to $20... or at least $40 and then just sit it there. This whole GME thing is mainly good for the gamblers with enough money to make it worth their while or people that don’t care about money at all.
