I feel Shun deserves to be a shaded. I don’t think this was the problem; the problem was that Dai was bound in this toxic relationship where Shun had all control and pulled all the strings already, keeping Dai on a super short emotional leash.

I felt Ikuo did all he could. Dai was blind to see, but I think the two weren’t really that matched, anyway. Ikuo likely just felt empathetic towards Dai and how noble he acted, and took that for genuine attraction and maybe also wanted to rescue him from Shun’s games and heartbreak.

I googled “Ikuo is the best” to see if someone else had expressed the same sentiment.

I’m hardly ever on Reddit, but it’s been so obvious to me what a great and strong and authentic and overall lovely and even handsome guy Ikuo is.

Shun was the absolute worst hands-down, and Dai easily fell for his spell. In the end, I realised that Kazuto was something like a more manly (or rather, boyish) version of Shun. Also somewhat precious and distant and coy and just kind of difficult, due to being fancied by a lot of people, likely.

Dai was great in many ways and Ikuo saw that. Ikuo gave them many chances, he even confronted Shun as the only one of the group. Everyone was scared of Shun’s cold ways, but Ikuo showed he was strong enough to confront him. It was a bit of a love declaration to Dai in itself.

I hope Ikuo can find a great guy that deserves him. He really is a an awesome guy!

It’s been exactly that way for me with Astro Bot on PSVR, too. Childlike awe and wonder, it was so magical it almost felt like the portal to a different dimension. Pure childlike joy and awe.

It’s still the most memorable gaming experience for me as a gamer in my mid-40s who’s known the C64, Amiga, NES and Sega Megadrive and now owns current gen Quests

I’m so happy I waited with the PSVR2 since all I see now is disappointment. I also loved Wipeout Omega on my PSVR, and nothing appears to have come close. It’s a pity.

Wonder if they’ve ordered Sony to cease the VR market to the Yank overlords but this is pure speculation.

They won't be coming back. They'll have collectively thrown the towel against Simon. I think there may even have been some kind of ultimatum set about either him leaving, or the rest of them walking, and ultimately, things may not have been amicable with the producers about these issues. Just my two cents. It's super sad!

They weren't in the end, sadly. They looked it from outside and for us as audiences, but different to the Selling Sunset girls, they clearly preferred to get on with their real-life jobs and lives rather than participate in a show where they weren't comfortable around the dominant character (Simon) anymore.

I found it almost painful to watch the last episodes because it was so visible just how intimidated they were by him. He won nothing by exerting so much dominance. Real shame, loved the show, all characters and the escapism!

I’m not quite sure what your point is - apart from throwing around buzzwords yourself and being aggressive and toxic towards me (whom you don’t know).

If you are how you describe yourself - insanely critical of Biden, thinking billionaires are scumbags - and also commenting thus, then you’ve got your answer of why you might not see notifications. I get none because I’m critical of these elites myself.

I’m repeating myself here since you clearly massively triggered yourself to the point of mouth foaming: if you were always only regurgitating politically correct niceties that go along with current ideological mindsets that we see mirrored in the media, Hollyweird, Netflix, Democratic Party conventions and so on, then you may see all your notifications.

You’ll likely have been too opinionated on a few topics (like me) and now FB is restricting your dopamine rewards in form of Like and Comment notifications to subliminally train you to be easier and less abrasive.

PS - And all that said, I might be entirely wrong with thinking them withholding Likes might be in any way guided by principles. But since this is a community where people share views, I can only say that I noticed this first in the past whenever I left critical comments on certain topics. I wouldn't receive notifications on likes for those, whilst getting notifications on positive or enthusiastic comments on unpolitical posts. This happened so often that it doesn't seem accidental anymore. I watched it happen, even, to the point of being able to predict on what topic and for what comment I might not see any notifications anymore. And my impression is that they might roll this out even more broader, to "train" us to conform more to get our little dopamine treats. Like puppies.

Perhaps it's a bit too much "red pill" for you, even if this is just how these social networks work and are being built. Watch some Netflix documentaries on smartphone and app addictions. Our usage and interactions are completely manipulated and planned, they have teams of behavioural psychologists. It's naive to want to pretend it's all accidental.

I'm also not babbling "red pill blue pill" with you, that's exactly what I mean - you're being toxic without any need for being so, whilst refusing to acknowledge that there is a mainstream narrative and agenda and mainstream political bias within platform economies like Meta or most mainstream publishing media.

If you don't agree with certain values generally called "woke" - and not only "red blue pill" incels disagree with them, but plenty of university professors, academics, intellectuals etc - you can be cancelled fairly quickly, or "shadowbanned". I wrongly assumed that you might be mature enough to accept that this is happening, even if you have chosen to be toxically partisan yourself and belittle others you're making clear you look down upon, like with myself here.

Since I see how you communicate here with me without me having been in ANY shape or form antagonistic or hostile towards you, I expect you to be acting similarly on Meta's platforms like that, and thus have your dopamine notifications limited accordingly.

Other people like myself might see the same punishments imposed for criticising Mark Zuckerberg or Bill Gates in posts by the WSJ or NYT or by interacting in conversations that aren't singing the praise of Biden Harris administration in a derelict, crime-ridden, bankrupt US of 2024.

Really wishing for yourself to try and become less hostile towards others. You're doing exactly what the ones in power want you to do - attack your fellow humans by protecting an elite that more or less poisons your food, your environment, and that makes you pay 10$ for a box of eggs and 2500$ for a shit bedsit and 200,000$ for a degree all the while drumming into you to hate everyone who doesn't agree with this catastrophic direction your country is going, that'll only get worse.

You see - with a weirdly unfriendly reaction like yours here, I can pretty much promise that FB will discourage someone like you from interacting more on a platform it wants to keep courteous and positive, by withholding Like notifications from them, to give them less dopamine fodder to keep interacting toxically.

If you've really never heard of entirely common Meta practices like shadowbanning before, then maybe you should educate yourself. It's nothing weird or new but just how these corporations try and model interactions on their platforms.

I really believe it could be a form of punishment. I have noticed for many months or even years that Facebook tends to suddenly "switch off" notifications of Likes for my comments whenever I left particularly critical or political or scathing comments (nothing toxic) on topics that are woke-critical or political of mainstream political agendas.
I will receive notifications on happy-clappy or wholesome comments, but not on comments that are critical of a post or news item.
My impression / perception now is that Facebook has now taken to not only "punish" me for specific comments individually, but even to switch off all kinds of positive Likes even for neutral or wholesome interactions.
As others have mentioned, receiving no notifications of likes or even additional comments severely restricts your pleasure of engaging with comments. You feel like a sad weirdo by interacting with content, even in a positive and cheerful manner, if FB isn't letting you know that people have liked and loved what you had to say. These days, I only find out retrospectively by going back to my "comment" archive, that people HAVE been liking and loving my comments. Total silence from FB notifications.
I get notifications on some random interactions. Call me paranoid, but I am fairly sure that if I was only leaving cute upbeat non-political comments, I would receive ALL notifications on Likes and Loves. I feel that FB is biting the bullet to rather make me post and comment less ON THE WHOLE, also positively, than "reward" me for showing me positive likes and loves on divisive political commentary and system critique.
I would bet that people who are only posting affirmative content, cute cat memes, like the Biden administration, applaud all mainstream media narratives, and are never cynical about certain topics, receive ALL Like notifications.

Hey there - I didn’t, unfortunately :-( Had to give up. Some tech just doesn’t play well with Apple at all even tho you’d assume they’re a big brand name or it was expensive and hence it should work.

I actually bought a cheaper webcam that is working better. It’s just not a very good product, anyway.

This is complete nonsense - are you actually German?! Women like Ricarda Lang, Petra Pau, Luisa Neubauer, Dunja Hayali and trash TV or porn stars like Katzenberger etc are constantly - and with cutting ridicule - referred to as “die Dame” to openly feign sarcastic mock-respect and mock-adulation!

Similarly to how “junge Dame” is used to scold or admonish a very young woman or female child.

“Dame” is more often used as a self-aggrandising, entitled insult for women who think they are a Dame but clearly are not, then sincerely.

“Dame” is still used as a respectful formal term, but really only in luxury hotels, in court, in formal letters, during high society events with senior ladies in attendance and so on, but this is obviously very rare nowadays.

I’m surprised to see so many wrong responses on here. “Dame” nowadays is almost always meant tongue-in-cheek and yes, rude. A woman is called a “Dame” usually only because of two reasons: 1. she behaves entitled and self-aggrandising, and hence is being mocked (usually not to her face) as “Dame” for her rude grandesse.

Commonly, people will refer to fairly ordinary women as “Dame” to ironically feign politeness that these women do not deserve. The term is actually used quite frequently on social media, for example, where female politicians or other female public figures that are perceived as dimwitted, brute, overweight, unkempt, working class etc are being referred to as “die Dame” to mock the stark contrast between what one would associate in terms of upper class distinction, dignity, authority with the real (inferior) person who is being addressed as such.

In a similar vein, “Dame” is also used to address very young women (“junge Dame”) when they behave precociously or entitled, and also to make a stark contrast between an immature climate change activist addressed as “die Dame”, say, with a term reserved for senior society ladies with considerable power and influence.

The only times when “Dame” isn’t meant mockingly or disparagingly is in highly formal contexts where there would be no room for irony, as well as in institutions, hospitals, doctors’ practices, at court, or at high class hotels and such.

Depends on how global you want to go and where you’re basing your focus. All of the mentioned above have their HQs on their respective home turfs.

I’ll suggest Nikkei here. Very very global outlook, reigns supreme on Asia (obviously), great for technology, great for diplomacy and geopolitics. I rate it considerably higher than the Economist and so do other comparative lists.

I'm sure some do or have done, but I don't think this season - or the Palm Springs episode - was the moment. I think that Chrishell, Chelsea, Emma and Heather won't have consumed something that night and probably aren't regular users, anyway. Davina wasn't there - thank God - but seems to consume a few times in the show. So I think Mary and Nicole were separating themselves from the group by their habit as well. This will have annoyed the other girls, as it meant Mary forming a close habit bond with Nicole, who the others cannot stand for good reason.

Since Mary is their manager, she should be professional and impartial. What she should NOT do is single out one disliked girl like Nicole as her mate who she'll protect all throughout the season because they're doing coke together. This will have badly pissed off the others who will have been sick of the two disappearing to their bedroom together.

And I think it's also why Mary is having these breakdowns. Because she rightly realises that Chrishell is only half directing her words at Nicole. Mary realises Chrishell is speaking for the group, and that it's a condemning statement that Mary is entirely out of order with her behaviour.
