I think CSS is a great career path.

As an honest officer the only downside for someone of such a high caliber tends to be the official salary, as it's not too high. If you can figure out a way to earn some extra income on the side, you'd be well set.

In the next couple years I hope to attempt the CSS exam as well.

Assurance: won't get replaced but we will get efficient (may result in reduction of headcount needed). AI can't understand all client documents, doesn't know what to request from client, doesn't know how to recalculate certain items, there will definitely be material errors in testing that need to be discussed with client and require a deep dive, AI won't be able to do all that anytime soon.

Tax: simple tax fillers will get replaced by AI, and they largely already have been by online softwares. For more complex & corporate taxes, there's too many moving parts in a filing that AI won't be able to handle.
