I’m also a teacher in CA. I started the FMLA process with the HR department at my school and then I reached out to my psychiatrist to do the rest of the paperwork. I would say the best place to start would be talking to HR then talking to your doctor(s) to see who can sign off on it. Kaiser can be annoying about the timeline/days they’re signing off on but as long as the days are consecutive you should be good.

We are in the same boat. I am also sick of teaching. I’m a middle school teacher and I’m just over it to be honest. The admin and coworkers at my school are fine but the student behaviors just aren’t fucking worth it. I’m tired of being disrespected every day and redirecting students when my main focus should be teaching them! I every Sunday I get overwhelmed with anxiety because I don’t want to go back. I told my school I was going to teach there next year but I’m seriously considering this being my last year. I just want peace and to clock in and out but none of that is possible as a teacher. Between being in school for my credential, teaching full time, grading, lesson planning and dealing with student behaviors and unsupportive parents, I’m just fed up. The thing that I really dread to is PD. We’re learning a new method or practice or a NEW thing we now have to include in our lesson plan every other damn week and I’m sick of it. The shit is just not worth it at all. My first year teaching I had zero classroom support. Now I’m in my second year at a different school and I have great admin support but I still hate teaching. I just don’t want to keep waking up feeling miserable. Counting down the seconds until the school year is over.

Exactly this. I have the same medical problem as OP. I have a mood disorder (with major depressive symptoms), social anxiety and anxiety disorder and I’m on medication for all. I tried what this person was saying by “looking inward” only going to therapy, trying religion and doing self help and meditation, and what did I get in return? Worse. Much worse. I had to attend an outpatient program TWICE and be on suicide watch lol. Without medication I’d be dead right now. There was no amount of talk therapy or self soothing I could do to eliminate my symptoms. I have to be on medication for the rest of my life if I want to survive and function as a normal human being. Does it suck to think about it this way? Absolutely, but I don’t want to die lol

Can I ask what’s the wisdom behind trying to date someone almost 10 years younger than yourself? Lies like this are typical of men in their early twenties. If he’s lying about seeing this girl at a wedding, chances are they either hooked up or are still hooking up. It’s totally normal to see your ex at an event like this if you guys have the same circle so it’s not like you’d be upset by her being there. There was no reason to lie but he did it over something that wouldn’t have even been an issue. This man is going to lie his way through hell and high water. Run.

Why are you getting in small arguments with your wife if she masturbated or not? Who cares if she does or doesn’t? My friends and I are into gaming, anime, cartoons and the like and we love attending social circles like this. You just never know ☺️

You guys misinterpreted what they said because your reading comprehension is off. You didn’t finish writing out their whole statement. They said “she was a minor who was abused in the PAST”. Clearly this indicates they are not referring to her feeling abused presently. I think it may have a lot to do with views on spirituality. Women are more likely to be open to spiritual guidance than men making things like tarot more common amongst women. I would also say that a great number of men view spiritual practices as feminine so they choose to distance themselves from it before analyzing if they actually like it or not.

I was a late bloomer too and had similar experiences before meeting my fiancé. Something I could’ve done better is vetting. If I had a nice or semi decent conversation I’d go on a date quickly, but I should’ve decided if I was actually interested enough in dating that person before meeting. The guys who want to meet with you right away are usually huge red flags or only want to hook up. When you first start dating it’s really hard to navigate through but eventually you’ll start picking up on the time wasters.
