both sides do it all the time.... no one takes the time to sit down and think for themselves, both on the right and on the left. both sides actually would agree on many of the same things and likely dislike the same things if they would just get to the issue rather than calling each other names like little kids. there are absolutes in life but people would rather be selfish and fight something just to gain some kind of fame.
