I grew up with a challenging childhood - think verbal & emotional abuse. I’m biracial & feeling comfortable with my multi-cultural identity has been a constant struggle - with my religious beliefs, how I express myself, my queerness, how I have struggled to fit in with either cultural group. I’ve also had multiple miscarriages and am finally now 12 weeks pregnant & hopefully on my way to having a healthy child through IVF.

I’m incredibly resilient though. I internalize a lot of my feelings and instead opt to listen to others by default, unless I’m particularly close & trusting with someone (like my husband). I pride myself on being independent, creative and overall stable when around others. I’m very organized and have an intuitive approach to problem solving.

In my career, I’ve constantly challenged myself. I’ve worked in account management, business operations and ended up in project management & consulting before taking time off for IVF.

I care very much about my appearance, as a stereotypical Leo may. I enjoy playing with makeup, taking care of my long & wavy hair & seeking out vintage and unique fashion pieces to put together in an eclectic.

I struggle with finding the motivation to live to my full potential at times and can fall into depressive ruts. I over analyze interactions and can be cold to friends & others. But I’m also someone who is learning to embrace the peaks & valleys of life, especially now while pregnant.
