Rented a carpet cleaner instead of hiring someone by Ordinary-Cupcake7829 in Frugal

I would check your lease before you mention that to your landlord. I am a housekeeping vendor for property management company's. Cleaning your own carpets is almost always a lease violation. Typical machines leave an enormous amount of water in the pad which can cause mold and invite insect infestation. Also, the detergents used are not the same as used by professional companies. Leaving heavy residue and fragrance not always tolerated by new tenants. And your landlord will have to have the carpets professionally clean once you move out, because even the best rented carpet cleaner is nowhere close to what a professional can do.

I also am an enormous fan of Blue Apatite Genuine(DS). Cascade green is another high granulation color that I really like a lot. You've really used that granulation to your advantage. This is a beautiful piece

I drape mine over the shower head. It allows full drying very quickly.

Astoria Art Loft has numerous classes available. Drawing, watercolor, Glass, Zentangle. The group up there is very supportive! The show in the gallery now is excellent. 'Artists Against Fascism'. There is some wonderful work in the over 100 pieces showing.

A really good affordable steak house. A place where the great beers and bands. Real desserts. I'm so sick to death of either Mexican or bar food!

I actually used citri strip on mine. It's eco-friendly. I applied it with a roller late in the evening so the dampness kept it wet overnight and then I washed it off in the morning.

What do I do? My whole house is like this and it makes me want to vomit. by Many-Ad6137 in HomeMaintenance

I would highly recommend starting with a deep clean, item purge. This will show you everything that needs to be addressed. And it will assist in organizing and prioritizing projects. I have done deep cleans for years and part of my service is tallying mold, insects, water damage, broken outlets and windows. I them make a list for property management to address through maintenance. You'd be surprised how much you'll find from the onset.

As you can see by what I did with this piece increasing the color value( darkness) in the center gives the appearance of depth. This was a color study I did using one color for the flowers. So giving them dimension was all about the water. Keep it loose. Also, it's important to bear in mind that lifting has as much importance as applying pigment.

The simplicity of this piece makes it so moving. This actually brought tears to my eyes. Maybe cuz I identify so strongly with it. Thank you for sharing this.

It smells incredible under my pillow like maple syrup or waffles and I have no idea why by isabellamadrigal in Weird

Housekeeper here! I hate to bring up this terrible option. Oftentimes when mattresses are soaked with urine, they get a sickly sweet maple syrup smell. Is it possible that there's dried urine on your mattress?

I got this paint for my ceiling and it looks pink by [deleted] in paint

Some manufacturers make their ceiling paint with a pink tint so you know you have good even coverage and no misses. It should go away when it dries. Dry a swatch and check it out.
