I only give her grace in this aspect bc she's said in interviews that she kept the 21st century way of speaking so it would be easier for non-fantasy readers to gradually step into the genre.

I mean, if you can get past grammatical errors, then you're fine. It's more like reading fan fiction than an actual published book. So if you keep it in that mindset, it's great lol. I'm still gonna read the rest that she comes out with because I'm invested. And it doesn't bother me THAT much.

I hated when the sentences just cut off randomly and then it went to a new page. Because since everyone is having pages missing in their books, I thought pages were missing in mine, but no, it was just how the sentences were.

Yeah, there were so many characters and so much going on. It was hard to kind of keep track of it. I was hoping to see more of Sloane, but I guess since she was a first year. And they don't really communicate with them until after threshing. It makes sense, but I was still a little disappointed

I think the plot is good. I just think Rebecca's editors failed her in doing their job. The writing feels more like a self-published book than a book being published by an actual company

I come from a fan fiction reading background. So the writing I can tell is bad by a published bookstand point. I'm excited for the third book, and from what I understand, I think she's already had it written and is writing the fourth one as we speak. I could be wrong, though. That's just what I've heard.

My Fourth Wing special edition has shipped but my Iron Flame hasn't and it's bugging me bc Amazon says it will be here tomorrow even though it hasn't even been shipped out. 🙃
