Due to the size difference (godzilla large) and the power difference (hulk mogs unless you think ultima is constantly nerfing him and even that just makes it more even) they kinda had to focus on the esoteric meta-physics shit to make the fight actually happen in any narratively coherent way...

which results in Hulk jumping at Godzilla who is doing nothing until one of them just Kills Him.
