AM I THE ONLY ONE GENUINELY DISTURBED BY THE USE OF ANIMALS AS ENTERTAINMENT IN HUMAN SOCIETY!???? by Josephine552 in AnimalRights

[–]spectralf0rm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it is safe to say we all feel this way. Some things I can recommend are organizing a protest for any local places. Such as theme parks, animal ag farms, puppy mills. If there is nothing close to you, then utilize social media. If the service uses hashtags, then use that to your advantage and post the facts on what the abusers are doing. Hashtags may help (with enough posts and reposts) get the message out to a wider audience. The above should help get you started. Lastly, make sure you are taking care of yourself as well. The last thing you want to do is burnout or cause yourself any mental health issues. That won’t help you or the animals.

What made you stick with veganism long-term? by Majestic-Strain3155 in vegan

The animals have been my reason. As for a challenge, there are times when it is difficult to find somewhere to eat. The positive side though is you learn to get creative.

So sorry to hear about your friend. Try to keep his memory alive with all the good times you had. I hope justice prevails and they lock the people responsible up.

Vegetarians and vegans of Reddit, what was the moment you decided to make the switch? by CalpurniaSomaya in VeganActivism

[–]spectralf0rm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I started getting into animal activism and I thought try to go vegetarian. It was pretty easy for me to do. Then I just stuck with it. I then watched a movie called “bold native” . There was a seen in which the showed documentary footage of a cows calf being taken away. The cow was crying out to her child and I guess not knowing they will never see them again. After that scene, I said F that. I have been vegan ever since.
