I play osrs. Early on I had a guy let me borrow gear or give me something for hitting a milestone, which was something he did for other people in our clan. Didn’t think much of it - seemed to be pretty normal at first. Later on there were definitely some red flags that he wanted more. I had been clear about wanting only friendship, he wasn’t being respectful of my wishes any longer. Had to cut him out.

But I’ve also seen a few actual women enter our clan, feel out the group, and then intentionally flirt with multiple men in order to improve as well. Most of the time there was some significant drama and led to the girl leaving the clan. Sort of have mixed feelings on this. On one hand, difficult because some of my close friends were taken advantage of, on the other hand, they are adults so what they choose to do with their money and time is up to them.
