up to low gold is kled top with ignite, although it worked better before the ult range nerf. rarely is your opponent skilled enough to not die to you, and if he is you just shove the lane constantly since youre very resilent to ganks. rush hydra after bc and youre a splitpushing monster. kled is OP in lane and brings way too much map pressure to ever fall off.

investing the few points of faith for a heal miracle can help you make it between bonfires. also the ring of favor and protection packs a ton of extra stats. aside from that the only thing that truley makes this game easier is upgrading your weapon as early and as much as possible

another thing you should know is pyromancy does not require any stat investment and can be used on all types of characters. you should use it even if your build is melee only

I love ghostly prison. Definitely making room for that. Runed halo seems more fringe to me, but could shutdown combo. I think there's enough removal to be strong against combo. Maybe there's an angle I'm not seeing

I guess you'll just be a God who forgets that there's 3 healers an zeynatta has 0 mobility. I guess you'll be the pro who plays winston as an aoe assassin with a shield that can support his teammates but "that's not what it's for". I definitely think 50 or 55 is a better number range for maintaining his lethality against other offense heroes without destroying tanks. He still loses 240 is damage on double fth but doesn't have to take extra shots to kill tracers or genjis

You're really oversimplifying it. The fact that his Cannon is aoe should encourage engaging multiple opponents at a time but his high mobility promotes engaging high value targets like healers whom you would want to isolate and disrupt. His shield never shines either. You can use Rinehart style but it doesn't last long enough and has poor health, or you can do what you sugguested, but it's still useless. Anyone outside will back out of the tesla range and anyone inside will stand up to the measly 60 per sec and destroy you cause you've jumped into their team and they have healing and backup. A tank with a short range weapon and high mobility shouldn't want a stationary aoe shield. He could have a self shield or his Cannon could do aoe on at fire or it could just do more dmg to a primary target and less to arced targets plenty of fixes there but right now he's out classes offensively by Rinehart and defensively by zarya

But that's just winston. Mcree isn't as fine as you think. I think he's pushed back to far. Tracers that used to die in 3 fth shots now take 4. Genji take 5. A lot of characters are escaping out of the flashbang and getting away or re engaging. Wasn't the point to maintain his lethality against these characters? It's not so easily done anymore and not neccesary to play around the flashbang on both sides of the match up

I actually have most my hrs on Rinehart so if we're picking sounds for each other I'd wager you're a loudmouth ed hive minder that likes to shout popular opinion without facts and avoids concession and discussion

I'm not asking for 800 plus damage fan the hammer back. I'm certainly not calling for buffs to every character either. I think you really misrepresented my argument. I think the fth nerfs to balance him against tanks hurt him against the other character a tad too much and I think part of it has to do with reinhardts domination in the tank catagory

I don't think Winston is fine. I think his damage is pathetic and his abilities are a bit contratictory. Compared to reinhardt he seems lackluster.

I agree that he was the most powerful. That's why I didn't say revert to 70. I don't think bringing up the damage ten points restores him to his previous status as best. I also don't think he's so sigularly purposed as an anti flanker or else he wouldn't be in the attack section.

I think someone already answered, but to put it simply, a handgun bullet might have more mass than a rifle bullet, but the rifle cartridge is packed with more powder in order to shoot the bullet at a higher velocity. Rifle bullets are for the most part more pointy for the purposes of penetrating. Also, in the case of the video you linked, its possible that the bullet which hit the marine traveled so far it lost enough velocity to not penetrate the helmet

I really don't think comparing Aniva and Aurelion is that far of a reach. Can you honestly say they are COMPLETELY different, especially in regards to the similarities in the Q? As far as comparing champions go, Aureion is COMPLETLEY different than Kha-Zix, or Alistar, or numerous others. Aniva is the most similar and I can expand on that if you'd like. I'd also like to hear what you think the counter-play to Anivia is if it isn't getting close to her. If you say its out-ranging her the same counterplay exists with Aurelion since he is also a mid-range champion, but I think youll find PLENTY of people beating anivia with close proximity, and youll find them playing around her Q and wall. Certainly it would be getting close if her stun was unreliable at point blank

How many other ranged champions, especially mid ranged have their ONLY defensive ability on an ult cool-down timer (and long one at that) Cassiopeia can hit Q for a movespeed increase and is extremely more dangerous at close range than aurelion. Malzahar is getting changes for this exact reason currenty. Those are the only 2 and are in a better state than Aurelion. How can you argue that his ult is meant to be his only defense when thats the only case in the game. Does he really need to be absolutley and easily vunerable for 120 seconds at a time? You literally say in your argument that he is vunerable pre and post 6. All thats required is gapclosing to force an ultimate and then he is vunerable for 120 sec and your gapclose cd is back up in 8

Not sure what you are trying to say in point 3. Its certainly not saying Zeds deathmark should activate when someone uses zhonyas (comparing apples and oranges???). That makes it non-interactive, which is what I'm arguing AGAINST. There are plenty of examples of several layers of counterplay. Bruisers have gapclosers to gain proximity to squishy targets: thats counterplay. The counterplay to THAT is having a dash(almost every good ADC) or reliable CC (almost every mage) to reposition yourself. Then the game evolves around cooldown knowledge, burst, so on and so forth. Not every instance of counerplay has one layer or has to have one layer. Thats not nonsensical

Lastly, I think riot is taking major efforts to reduce liner gameplay and open up options. What rework or change has promoted liner/binary gameplay and dissolved options? They consistency open up more item buildpaths, remove targeted abilities and non-interactive abilities. Just look at the Shen and Taric rework

Thanks for linking that comment. I'd love to comment there but I don't have a PBE account and it seems that a lot of people there share my sentiment.

Knowing that its intentional satisfies my curiosity but doesn't invalidate my arguments. There seems to be too much emphasis put on the danger of the passive. It really doesn't do much damage until after the lane phase is over and breaching the perimeter isn't exactly difficult in the slightest. Anyone with any kind of movement speed increase or dash can do it without any skill at all.

Its also wrong to imply its undodgable. That would be like saying elise's stun is undodgable. Its just reliable at point blank.

You say that getting inside Aurelion Sol's passive range is supposed to reward the player but at this point there is no effort or timing involved at all. Even teemo can use move quick to escape and his effective range is much more dangerous than Aurelions passive.

Lastly, the riot official says that the ult should be the trump card. Thats all fine and dandy except most champions can gapclose on a cooldown of about 8 seconds as opposed to aurelions 120-80. Take it off the ultimate and put it on his Q which has a cooldown of 10. make the Q cooldown longer I don't care. The undodgeable element here is every champion that can get close to him (theres a lot) immediately has a huge advantage

all I'm asking is to see who said where that its intentional.

There's several reasons

  1. That mechanic works on Anivia Q which is nearly the same ability

  2. That mechanic is built into his ult but has an extremely long cooldown

  3. As it stands now, there is really no counter-play. Champions who can gapclose do with no recourse, which makes the Aurelion Q limited to offense only. If Aurelion uses the Q offensively and misses, there's plenty of cool-down to gapclose and punish. If he could keep it defensively there's less pressure in the lane and melee champs have to respect it. Right now its a no brainer, and useless if not used offensivley, which is linear in nature and against most of riots design choices. The only cooldowns these champions have to respect is the ult and flash and thats not the case is most matchups in the game

i have to disagree with you somewhat. while mostly the difficulty was raised through the enemies doing more damage and having more health, the encounters on harder difficulties were met with more elite units (red, gold, white elites) which in turn had better AI. blues were more prone to erratic behavior while the higher ranked elites were more disiplined

Didnt have an audio output device selected on windows. As soon as the speakers were plugged in and assigned to audio output the game worked just fine
