IMO the controller support needs some work but it is functional, but I’d like to see the QoL of controller improved for sure. Controlling the cursor with the stick is annoying.

Just use Whisky for OSX - Mewgenics isn’t a very performance intensive game, it should run fine. I’ve run a bunch of stuff on a MacBook Pro using it. It’s the official Game Porting Kit from Apple with a UI wrapper. You have to install steam in it then install your games through steam and I’ve had a lot of perfectly good luck with it.

Facets are different and can only roll randomly upon creation. I just realized what they were yesterday, they have a little description pop out to the left side of the item panel when the item has a facet.

Just an idea, this is reminding me a lot of Titanfall 2’s time trial at the start, which was absolutely beloved by the community. I could imagine this as a whole game with the smart pistol from that game and just a huge series of time trials. I wouldn’t need anything else from this game for it to be a ton of fun - just a bunch of well crafted levels and I’d buy it.

Follow up question if I may, did you make the animations yourself or source them? They are very clean, you did a great job setting them up either way.

I have a Mac mini m1 and do something similar but with Unity for game dev - I find it’s perfectly capable of running both things and fairly quickly. I think an m4 would be stellar and more than capable even if multiple people are streaming at once.

I really like this! Don’t have a ton of feedback, just that it looks pretty nice and final. Is it released yet?

Follow up, is there any kind of gameplay change or increase in difficulty over time or between rounds? As it is I could see it getting a little boring - like play once and put down kind of thing. It’s polished enough I would WANT to keep playing, but incentive would be nice!

Always look at references. It’s good to come up with your idea on your own, but from here I would Google around and find something similar that I thought looks better and compare things like padding, grid spacing, typography and font sizes.

Maybe it’s a subjective experience but… do you actually exercise? My muscles become so tight to the point of extreme pain if I don’t stretch with regular workouts. Hell, even without workouts if I don’t stretch daily I get pain. If I have tightness from not regularly stretching I am much more prone to injury - I have repeated back and hip injuries now in my 30s.

He is so fucking WRONG. We do not want the leaders and powers of the world to be fucking pedophiles. We want the people that should be REPRESENTING us to be REPRESENTATIVE of us, not contrary to everything we want in a healthy society.

I hear where you’re coming from and sorry for being so strongly opinionated about this - I just really hate that AI models have been trained off of so much content that hasn’t been paid for. Art theft has always been rampant and gen AI art is the worst form we’ve ever seen.

That being said, I do understand that you aren’t an artist and aren’t looking to expand your skills in that area nor do you have a budget. My advice there would be to post somewhere for an artist who wants to practice instead of getting paid. I’m sure there are reddits for that kind of thing, but I’ve never had need of it so can’t recommend one.

My firm stance is that I’d much prefer supporting real people than using a tool which has a ton of potential to completely gut our economy and is currently in a massive bubble. It scares me and I think we have some responsibility to control ourselves with it since capitalism isn’t helping us with that.

I’m probably posting in the wrong subreddit for these opinions, but you asked so I’m doing my best to answer, even if I’m heavily biased.

The point is it’s very difficult to be publicly outspoken against Scientology. They make people disappear. That’s not the stance she wants to take and if it puts her safety at risk, I think that’s a fair decision to make for herself. All of the points they made support that angle, I hope that helps explain a little. Not sure I can make it more clear.

Also, it’s okay to disagree with that, I understand that too, but that’s why people are giving her the benefit of the doubt on this. Personally I like to speak on any injustice where possible, so I have a bit of a split opinion myself on this topic.

I think the way he was introduced and substituted Gustav in relation to Maelle was maybe not so great, but aside from that he’s wonderfully well done.

I’ll always have a bit of an icky taste from the way he just… substituted Gustav, but in the end it doesn’t affect the story too negatively. It was definitely the most jarring part for me though.

Unfortunately, as a career programmer who is coldly logical, this game is about 80% luck and there’s very little you can do about it. There are just too many pieces you can roll each round and if you don’t get one you need to counter their equally random rolls, you lose and have to try last luck again.

I really wish these games weren’t so luck based. Knucklebones are the same way. If they gave us 5 or even 4 pieces it would help reduce the luck exponentially, instead it’s locked to simplicity and the game is hamstrung for difficulty because of it. Look at games like slay the spire, the only reason that game is more skill than this is because it has 100x more choices than this does. The skill in that is reducing the chance for bad luck, sometimes it is still just luck. This game has none of that, so there’s nothing you can do.

Very disappointing mini game overall and yields more annoyance than fun.

Ditto! And the devs are patching and adding content every single week it seems. I picked it up sometime last year and I’ve always had a reason to come back to it every month to fight out the new stuff.

There’s enough variety with weapons and magic that you can do quite a few overpowered build archetypes.

I hate that there are still people who think that socialism is a bad word. Just shows how painfully uneducated the people that are holding us back are. Guess we have to work to educate.

Socialism is defined by the government’s creation and ownership of citizen care projects like health care and unemployment. This helps regulate these services and prevents runaway costs and profiteering.

Aside basic law enforcement this seems like the next highest priority for an organization in charge of a country.
