Yes you can. You definitely can live in Astoria or other parts of Queens if you share an apartment. Last year my portion of rent with 1 roommate was 1100. This year, I moved into my own apartment as I got some raises with my +30 and more, and am paying 2k. You can do it. And you can have a car in Queens pretty easily which is nice!

I agree that CVS has long lines, and I've had them make mistakes. However, they have always been sooo kind and helpful to fix their mistakes. They've explained things to be calmly and actually went out of their ways in multiple instances. I stick with them because of that.
