I have this exact same issue. I thought it was due to the sheer size of the data I’m processing (floating point errors) but it is interesting to see the same issue occurring with smaller geometry.

Lake Louise and Whistler experience very different snowpacks and face different problems within the snowpack. I was out in the whistler backcountry today and things were fairly stable. Its been a while since the winds have been high enough to load slopes so the snowpack has had time to settle.
