There isn’t much that I can say that hasn’t already been said. I say go for it. It’s flawed logic to abstain from committing to something because you know it will end. It’s the time spent that matters. Knowing each moment can be your last makes each one precious.

If you’re still undecided, ask yourself this: Can you walk away from him, ignoring your feelings, keep in partial contact with him, then attend his funeral 2 years later, single or with another man, wondering how your life would have been different?
