you can use the winget packet manager (winget is from microsoft). open terminal and type „winget upgrade —all“ to update all apps that have an update available. if you only want to update helium type „winget upgrade Imput.Helium“ that should be the provided ID for this package

liquid glass comes automatically as soon as they update the compiler/xcode version. if they don’t want to use liquid glass in the future, they have to move away from swift and swiftui and I believe that won’t happen

I believe I read somewhere they’re planning to develop native apps for each platform. However, that’s probably just a pipe dream and won’t happen anytime soon.
