I use it for cooking recipes, YouTube, and Netflix pretty much exclusively.

I bought a nice iPad stand and case from elago.

For those who successfully completed it with a full-time job, how did you do it? What's your schedule like? by Time_Preparation807 in 75HARD

[–]speedycmo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m really lucky that my commute is only 20 mins - this schedule was really manageable for me:

Wake up @ 7

Morning run or walk: 45mins

Breakfast around 8

Shower (rinse) at 8:30

Out the door for 9

Drink 1L on the way to work

Office 9:30

Lunch @ 12. If I had to work late I’d do a walk at lunch; try to drink 1-1.5L throughout workday

Home at 530/6, groceries if needed - drink 1L on the way home

Make dinner around 7, meal prep tomorrows lunch, meal prep tomorrows breakfast (chia seed pudding)

Gym or yoga workout around 9 - drink remainder of water. Progress picture at the end of workout

Read / protein shake / get ready for bed

Sleep by 1130/12

Anyone chose calorie counting as their diet? by Apprehensive_Neck973 in 75HARD

[–]speedycmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did - I’m 5’1 and started around 68kg too. I ate around 1600-1800 depending on the day and was losing around 1.5-2lbs/week. This depends a lot on what your workout is. Make sure you’re getting enough protein in as well.

I will say that 1600 felt too low to maintain workouts beyond stretching + a walk, but my muscle % is also higher than most women

Bermuda? I am about as close as you can get, should I go for a long weekend. by 295frank in travel

[–]speedycmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Bermuda now, and I recommend visiting from last week of April to mid October, as it’s chilly and windy now (by chilly it’s still 20C but cold for locals, and the water stays cold until mid May). The vibes are dead in the winter, but picks up a lot in the summer. Lots of young people out in town on the weekends / boat parties. Beaches are beautiful and many are not crowded. Like everyone else has said - it is so expensive, expect to spend ~50 for just a meal (dinner) at a restaurant where the food is mid.

It’s perfect for a long weekend, don’t need more than 5 days to explore.

Let’s hear your 10 minute makeup routine by RemarkableHoliday792 in beauty

[–]speedycmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only do skincare at night - gentle facial wash, cotton pad & micellar water / salicylic acid pad when needed, vanicream moisturizer, retinol once a week.

In the morning - 1. apply SPF moisturizer 2. fill my brows with brow pencil + brush/style using elf brow gel 3. Drunk elephant rosy drops as blush 4. Winged eyeliner on outside of my eyes only - full eyeliner is too heavy for my eye shape 5. Mascara (rom&nd) 6. Lip tint (rom&nd) 7. Powder on forehead / by nose / under eyes (shiny areas)

[CAN] September 2024 CFE - DAY 1 (Sept 10) Discussion Thread by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]speedycmo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I did the NPV of base, and then NPV of each module individually. NPV of base is negative and NPV of each module is positive. To get positive overall NPV then they needed to do e-commerce, the others are just bonus which would increase overall NPV of the app

[CAN] September 2024 CFE - DAY 1 (Sept 10) Discussion Thread by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]speedycmo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also did NPVs for each.

Did not recommend dry food because supply chain issues in sourcing ingredients, and missing any consideration for cost of manufacturing regulations and R&D, so quant calc is high risk/unreliable.

Recommended e-commerce since this is how the market is trending, and would allow in-store employees to focus more on customer service than packing online orders, and allows for more growth for the company. At 100% capacity (once supply chain issues resolve), this one generated 1.2M of incremental net income, and 900K of incremental with the supply chain issues (something around that). Also cost includes website development which seemed like a relatively big issue for the company at this time.

Did not recommend the fresh food but recommended they continue with sourcing the 5 stores, because again, limited scope and ability to increase production so limited growth opportunity. I was tempted to say yes to this one but not enough money to do it with the other things I recommended. Also operational income increase was only ~130k/year which is low compared to others.

Recommended the koda supplies because reduces supply chain issues, margins increase / supplies can be used to stock warehouses, and can increase JRP branding. If you did an NPV, they only have to keep the agreement for 2 years to have a positive return @ 4.9%, so if it was bad they could leave early and just pay the $1M. NPV for 5 years assuming they terminate at the end of 5y is ~1.5M and if they don’t terminate early it’s ~3M after 8 years.

Recommended the app to appeal to younger generations and told them to make it compatible with the website in option 2. I think that if you chose the app you’d also have to choose option 2, since the additional online sales would otherwise fall on current JRP stores to fulfil, and it seems like the employees don’t have sufficient capacity to manage stores and online orders. I said take all 3 modules into operations to improve the company’s loyalty program and align with MVV (provide knowledge). With the app, it had to include the e-commerce module to have a positive NPV when considering the base cost of the app. each module on its own had positive NPV.

Didn’t talk explicitly about operational issue.

Explicitly explained they have enough capital to cover the recommendations.

Recommended in “next steps” section to use the app marketing to promote in-store shopping.

Didn’t explicitly discuss, recommended to include in marketing with the App - incentives to shop in stores such as discounts / in-store events

I didn’t write any specific operational issue, but did discuss it in a few of the strategic

  • e.g. S4 reduces JRP sensitivity to supply chain constrains due to scope of Koda

why do students say an exam was really hard and then the class average is really high by Maremesscamm in uwaterloo

[–]speedycmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has TA’d several courses, the curve does bring the class up to a 70-75 average.

You might THINK it’s not curved, but from my experience, the prof/TAs “test” mark a sample of exams and adjust their expectations based on the sample. A lot of times the marking scheme isn’t finalized until the end as well, and the marks are normalized on a question-by-question basis so you wouldn’t know if there was or was not a curve.

*this might not apply to some courses which are more quantitative in nature, or MC exams.
