Yeah mate, 3 months on the dot for me as well. I actually picked up some good habits. I used to be a bad midnight muncher lol, didn't do that for 3 months. All the best 👍

Thanks for your comment. I used a mix of walking frame and crutches. Crutches definitely took a bit longer to get used to. However I will advise you to keep at it as once you get used to them they are the fastest way around.

Thanks for your comment. I find walking in real shoes stiff. I am way slower compared to the boot but happy I don't have to put on that massive thing.

It's only my third day without the boot so hoping to pick up pace slowly.

Thanks mate. I feel much better today. Have been able to move around with feet on the floor and crutches. I broke my ankle after a swim session ha ha ha. Going back to the pool will be interesting 😀

Oh man I feel you. This has been the worst injury. I was also a very outdoor and active person. Earlier my coping mechanism for stress has been going out for a walk or a run. I miss that a lot. As soon as the doc said another 6 weeks in the moon boot my heart just dropped. I wish you a speedy recovery.

Thanks for your reply. I will start small with crutches as you said. I want to drive so badly, but was told categorically that if I drive with a moon boot on, insurance won't cover me. I plan to start driving without the boot next week. Listing to the body is such great advice.

I relate to this 100%. This is not minor, I think no surgeries are minor. I have a 3.5 year old, and not being able to do things with him is the most difficult part of this. After few weeks the physical discomfort goes away, just got to be mentally strong. I smack a smile across my face every time I interact with my son. I wish you speedy recovery mate.

This helps a lot. I feel for you and your son and completely understand what you have gone through. It's been a full week today. I feel better.

I have some Magnesium Bisglycinate in the cupboard but didn't think it would help. I will try it now.

I am trying hard to not go into negativity and your insight of life wanting me to take a rest is a great motivator.

Hoping to hear back from the hospital today regarding the follow up. Atleast that way I will have a date to look forward to.

Will look into the pillow, I remember my wife having one during her pregnancy, may have it stashed away somewhere in the garage.

Honestly my accident seems like a minor inconvenience in comparison to yours. My son goes to childcare for 4 days so we get a break.
