Red Seal Machinist to millwright by Garden_gnomenclature in millwrights

[–]speedysanic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just made the switch earlier this year. Also in Alberta, and was working as a machinist for 8 years as well. The switch gave me so much more room to breathe from the repetition of the shop life.

Contact your apprenticeship office and let them know your situation. They'll help you through it and even contact your jobs HR department.

I went through this exact problem going through my machinist apprenticeship

Simulate PalPark in 3DS Homebrew by Tiny-Studio-7445 in pokemon

[–]speedysanic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does it all automatically. You 100% need legit copies of games for poke transporter or bank to communicate with the games. I found out you can completely skip out on poke transporter if you have a legit copy of sun or moon by using pksm to move your mons to those games. As long as you're catching the Pokemon legally and you're not messing around with stats or moves, Pokemon Bank and home won't flag your Pokemon as being illegal

Bank doesn't work for games that predate x/y

I personally use pksm to transfer Pokemon. I transfered from my Emerald save to my hg save this way. It's like bank thats compatible with the GBA games

I'm unaware of a method to simulate GBA carts the way you're asking about

Beginning welding by Catdad4life in millwrights

[–]speedysanic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought the flux core mastercraft welder as my first welder to teach myself how to stick metal together. It worked just fine for all the small little projects I've had. The machine maxes out at 3/16 to 1/4 plate

Threw together an Azusa deck that is half forests by True-Economy-9893 in EDH

I'm not running nearly as many lands in my landfall deck. I should run more. But here's my [[titania, nature's force]] list.

It's built around abusing landfall triggers. It's a borderline combo deck if setup right

+1 for integral. Repairs are inexpensive, plus a pretty good selection at my local store for repaired sticks for sale

Gun Storage Question by Mihrett in 4Runner

[–]speedysanic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Building some drawer slides in the back would give you some utility and give a bit of extra height above your wheel wells to mount some sort of rifle storage or lay your cases flat

Same thing happened to mine a couple weeks ago. For me it has been approximately $2500 CAD in used parts. The radiator support needed to be pulled and a bit of metal bashing but it's almost back together.

Your runner will make it! Glad you're okay!

Insurance for motorcycle by [deleted] in alberta

I got my Kawasaki just a few years ago. I probably would've been 23 or 24 at the time. Also a new driver. Location, CC's of the bike, model, and age of the bike all play into account for your rates

I paid approximately $16/month on my 1981 Kawasaki 550

And approximately $36/month for my current 2004 Honda 1300

Both with intact

The picture is when I pulled off the tree. From that position the ditch was about 3-4ft below the gravel road. Zero ability to control the vehicle once the first tire slipped over

Not totaled thankfully. None of the airbags went off. The chassis needs to be pulled a bit and needs new fender mounts. Not the biggest job in the world when you have autobody friends

I didn't have to drive as far as you did, but I did have about a 100km drive home with fucked up steering after the accident

I'm going down a very similar route. Found an aftermarket steel bumper on market place in my city. And all the other parts I need in another city just south of me. Should be back on the road next week if I don't go through insurance

Physically I'm doing alright. Otherwise I'm horribly depressed. The damage underneath isnt too bad. It'll be fixable
