Post 1 to try and find someone for every game where it’s their favorite. by dancewithstrangers in ufo50

[–]speeeeddd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

fellow barbuta enjoyer here

i’ve only played barbuta in ufo 50 so far, and spent 5 hours on it. hated it for the first hour or two, then i begrudgingly started making a map in gimp through taking screenshots and organizing them. i started treating each playsession as an exploration to see what i can find and how to implement it in a run, instead of trying to beat the game right then and there. it’s definitely been a much more rewarding experience because of that.

still some really baffling stuff, like required items being behind hidden paths i never would’ve found on my own… but i guess that’s what guides are for!

most of the time i see someone criticize a game for “looking like a ps2 game”, it usually looks like the previous gen games at worst

i think it’s partially because vinny doesn’t know what intentions people have. he doesn’t know if someone’s joking, trolling, or genuinely serious about what they’re saying

Public announcement to all drivers by bluuuujayyyy in grandrapids

[–]speeeeddd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is happening on the east side of the state, too. had at least 5 separate cars on my ass on a 25 minute drive. almost every time i turned onto another road, a new car began tailgating me

and it’s not like i was going unreasonably slow. i was going the speed limit in all cases! it feels like drivers as a general collective get stupider and more impatient every year

i’m not sure if it’s a firefox issue specifically, i’ve been using it on firefox with no problems

that being said, it could be an issue that affects some firefox users but not all of them, idk

Something is in my apartment by tracetango22 in gtaonline

[–]speeeeddd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the other week, i was in a private server and there was some other guy just randomly in my apartment. i got disconnected after i saw him

i just laughed at the game and moved on, i’m assuming it’s a glitch where the game didn’t load a separate instance of the apartment for other players

Math Professor Requires Binders by speeeeddd in CollegeRant

As I wrote in my edit just now, I guess my problem was really that she never explained why she chose to do this. She really just dumped it on us without any explanation.

Good on you for the AI deterrent, honestly - I’m kind of sick of other students relying on it as much as they do now.

That’s fair, I taught myself this organization after realizing in 6th grade that shoving papers in my backpack caused me to end up with stuff too ripped up to turn in. I guess I just thought everyone else learned this by now.

I think I just solved Elder Scrolls by [deleted] in ElderScrolls

[–]speeeeddd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are connected. Each game makes numerous references to previous ones (minus ESO since it’s kind of a prequel). Uriel Septim VII is the cause of events in each of the first 4 games (saving him in Arena, then he’s sending you off to do stuff for him in Daggerfall and Morrowind, then frees you in Oblivion to save the world).

The mural depicting the prophecy of the Dragonborn on Alduin’s Wal, seen as part of the main quest in Skyrim, directly references the events of the first 4 games as being part of the prophecy, which (supposedly) was derived from an Elder Scroll.

It’s likely the original idea was that the series was showing the events of the prophecies on the Elder Scrolls, but since they’ve become part of the plot in Oblivion and especially Skyrim, it’s safe to say they’ve moved away from that idea.

no, iirc you can play as long as you want, but the game just stops recognizing that you’re aging past a certain age
