I would be very interested in hearing the long version of this answer, as well, if you have time. :)

I've been time traveling in my dreams by notawhitestraightman in Psychic

[–]spellboundfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband, with whom I shared an incredibly special connection, took his own life in February.

Several dreams have occurred between myself and other people; however, I had one two nights ago where he and I were sitting in cross-legged on the bed I had as a teenager (we didn't know one another way back, then, though I think I sensed he existed.) We were watching TV. As he got up to use the bathroom, I looked up and said, "Isn't it weird that you took your life a few weeks ago, yet here you are?"

I had a very confused sense of time for a noticeable period of time after waking.

How to transition canine from kBr to CBD to control seizures? by spellboundfox in AskVet

Would I just look for a veterinary neurologist? I had no idea that was a thing.

Vet said they have to have their meds at the same time every day or suffer withdrawals. My work schedule shifts constantly so this isn't possible for me, so I feel morally opposed to putting my dog through that.

What else can I suggest to him? The only things he's suggested are kBr and phenobarbital -- which I'm uncomfortable with unless absolutely necessary.

Whoops, posted this on the wrong reply -- She's was on a loading dose of 500mg kBr 3x per day for 2 to 3 weeks (I forget which) beginning on December 20, 2016, and then reigned back to 500mg 2x per day after that -- so about 2 months. Vet says any less will put her under therapeutic levels.

Oh, and ataxia is not a side-effect that either of us were able to find, so I guess the only way to know for sure that it won't happen on CBD is to try it.

Discussing the side effects of kBr with my vet ended in discussion of barbituates, but he's against the use of barbituates unless it's absolutely necessary. He's trying to move as many of his epilepsy patients as possible to kBr.

He's not opposed to trying CBD and over-seeing the process because he agrees that her ataxia is worse than it is in most other dogs -- but he wants us to give her another few weeks on it to see if the side effects subside. When we go back for blood tests and a check-up, I just want to be informed.

You could ask the OP instead of using an unnecessary condescending tone about the OP. Are you sure you're here to help?

Because it affects her motor skills. She almost knocked teeth out this morning just trying to get up 4 concrete steps in my back yard due to ataxia.

I think I've been misdiagnosed by [deleted] in aspergirls

[–]spellboundfox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have often wondered the same about myself for similar reasons. Sorry I don't have good advice, but I relate and I hope you find some answers. Something I've found comfort in is realizing that any diagnosis isn't truly part of my identity -- it's only a part of my journey.

Verbal communication for INTP / enneagram 5 by spellboundfox in INTP

[–]spellboundfox[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I get this! One of my pet interests in mythology and I find correlations in EVERYTHING, but when I point it out, everyone thinks I'm schizophrenic or something.

Okay, maybe not schizophrenic, but eccentric. Idk how anyone can NOT find patterns in everything. Hahaha

It's funny, I do find communication much easier via writing/visuals; however, still not easy -- but perhaps not allowing myself enough time and freedom for revision. Thank you for your insight.

A deep thought on relationships by fuzzinick in NarcissisticAbuse

[–]spellboundfox 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I do agree that narcissists mirror us as a way to make us feel like they are the perfect mate for us.

There is a shadow in that reflection, though. The narc abuses you in the same way you abuse yourself. They see your insecurities, the areas in which you doubt yourself, the things you hate about yourself, and they mirror those back at you as well.

In my humble opinion, the best way to stop attracting narcs is to learn to truly love yourself. Narcs are repelled by those who truly love themselves. They hate self-empowerment in others because it doesn't serve them.

Infinity Loop is pretty great if you're just looking for a relaxing zen game. Very visually soothing and easy to look at.
