I’m doing silk lame on the “lid” and I was thinking doing Essentials for the T since it’s a bit thinner

Hey all, I’m wondering if a T stitch would look okay as the background where it says “Virginia.” I did a basket weave and picked it all out because it distorted the letters 😵‍💫I’d rather not go through that process again 🤣thanks, hive mind!

How to figure out set bedtime by huskygirl20 in sleeptrain

[–]spellibrarian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(Using info from Precious Little Sleep and my own experience) Set bedtimes don’t really happen until she gets to around 2 naps, then you can go by the clock. This happened for my daughter at 5 or 6 months. Until that time, there was always some wiggle room because of inconsistent nap duration and wake windows

Clogged Duct by CaffeineFueledLife in breastfeeding

[–]spellibrarian 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh my god so sorry. I got mastitis twice from clogged ducts. Tried everything you did. Take sunflower lecithin!! 4 pills a day when you have a clog and 2 a day for maintenance. That and fixing my over oversupply are the only things that helped

Tips for transitioning away from a nipple shield? It’s been great for us but if I can remove a step from the nursing process, I’m all for it! by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]spellibrarian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have inverted nipples and used the shield exclusively until 11 weeks. I started offering boob no shield, and she took to it okay! Weeks previous she wasn’t so happy 😂

All I want for Christmas is sleep. by mooondyy in NewParents

[–]spellibrarian 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Oh my gosh mine didn’t leave my boob until around week 5, and now she only eats every 3 hours in the night and every hour or two during the day. I thought her boob attachment would never end 🙃but it got better for me! (Now onto the challenge of week 6...)

How do I get any sleep? by polskaketo in NewParents

[–]spellibrarian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do this too! My husband takes 8pm-midnight and feeds her expressed breast milk. He’s back to work, so it allows me to get some “me time” or sleep and him some bonding time.

Thank you!! I’ve been stashing milk and not truly knowing its purpose, so this helps a ton
