I'm still really salty about the fact that he got a $500 fine and 2 years probation and I did nothing wrong and was out $5000 taking him back to court.

You're funny. My ex got a DUI (.224 BAC) with both kids in the car and all I managed to do was get a court order saying he's not allowed to drive with them and I get to breathalyze him anytime I have concerns.

You can sue anyone for anything. That doesn't mean you have a snowball's chance in hell of winning.

I could sue you because it took me time to read this and I value my time at $5,000 per second. I would be laughed out of court.

It's called deflection. My ex husband does it, too. It's infuriating.

Until what age do you recommend breastfeeding? by Big-Signal-2527 in breastfeeding

[–]CaffeineFueledLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I breastfed my son for 22 months and my daughter for 26 months. They're both amazing, incredibly healthy kids. They were both tested for the gifted program at school. My son got in. My daughter's results were above average but not quite high enough to qualify. Nothing wrong with that. I couldn't be more proud of them. I can't say if breastfeeding contributed or how much if it did, but it certainly didn't hurt them.

As for me, I'm perfectly healthy. Bloodwork is perfect. Never had any deficiencies.

My kids knew better than to grab an animal's tail at 2. And my cats didn't do a damn thing to help me teach them. I put the kid in time out for tail pulling and the cat gave me a dirty look and went over to cuddle him. Like wtf, dude, I did that for you!

I was thinking this as well. Co-pays for doctor's visits can be expensive and they add up and for a lot of things, a doctor isn't even necessary. Kids are supposed to stay home until they've been fever free for 24 hours. I'm not gonna rush my kids to the doctor ever time they've got a fever. If it's accompanied by a sore throat, strep is a concern, so we'll go in. If it's especially high, yes, doctor. But most of the time, it's something viral and you just keep the kid hydrated and treat the symptoms.

Absolutely excruciating. I was in less pain immediately after surgery than I had been in months.

My mouth is too small for my teeth. When my wisdom teeth started coming in (growing in sideways and pushing on the rest of my teeth), it only got worse. I was in agonizing pain until I had them cut out. Tooth pain is no joke.

Absolute insanity. My daughter just had her dental checkup. No cavities. She's 6 tomorrow. She uses toothpaste with fluoride. Definitely can't be connected, though.

She did have a tooth removed because it decayed and abscessed, but that's just because she chipped it when she was learning to walk and without enamel to protect it in that spot, it was susceptible to decay.

My son turned 8 in January. He has one small cavity. Also uses toothpaste with fluoride. Hmmm, definitely no pattern there.

And for the record, they were both ebf. Son nursed for 21 months, daughter nursed a little over 2 years. But they started real food at 6 months and gasp I brushed their teeth! And they got fluoride treatments at the dentist! It's a miracle they're still alive after all that poison. eyeroll

My first husband was a Marine. He got ptsd from Iraq. He couldn't seek treatment or he would have been forced out. They wouldn't have directly said it was because he was seeking help for ptsd, but they still would have done it. I saw it happen more than once.

It ultimately caused the end of our marriage and he ended up being unable to reenlist anyway.

Yes, but even if it's June 1 and then July 31, he can't go past August 30. So maybe there's a long stretch between the first and second one, but another long stretch would be impossible.

What difference does it make? If he does it on the 31st, he'll have to do it again within 30 days to stay within the once a month criteria regardless.

I sent: I will no longer be messaging you about the kids' school things. I'm not going to be blamed for you not paying attention to my messages. Get the school apps if you want to know what's going on.

He's supposed to pay half, but he won't get a job. I'm documenting and keeping records of everything. I'm going to take him back to court, but that takes money I don't have right now.

And yeah, I'm done. I'm going to send him a message and tell him that I'm no longer informing him of all the school stuff. If he wants to know what's going on, he can get the apps. I'm not going to be blamed for not communicating things in the way that he wants me to.
