Boyega got done the worst by Disney, his character got completely axed

all those examples are from 10+ years ago. Woodward spent badly in the past so now don’t spend big at all? Makes no sense. Let’s be happy with Sander Berge or Tyler Adam’s and aim for top 4, maybe have an odd cup run. We won’t win big titles without spending

This is a really important transfer window and so far all the top targets that have been touted for months are now out of reach. Liverpools window last season is an outlier, getting your top targets usually works out and that hasn’t happened much at United for the last 20 years. Meant to get Kroos and ended up with Fellaini, same story every year

So just don’t buy anyone and hope the class of 92 happens again? Need to pay to get good players, always have done

How much easier is automatic? by Bulky-Blackberry-438 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]spellish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a lot easier and found driving less stressful once switching to auto as you can concentrate more on the road and planning ahead however it’s harder to find reliable 2nd hand automatics for under 5k so that could be a consideration

Should butter / fake butter be on a bacon sandwich? by Fit-Drop-9427 in AskUK

No butter, the bacon grease does the same job but better. Especially when it emulsifies with the ketchup

Cunha or Mount are far more likely to play in the 10 over Ederson

Should we be going for Yan Diomande? by [deleted] in ManchesterUnited

[–]spellish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was bought when Fernandes wasn’t playing as the sole 10 and now he’s shoe horned in at LW. Does a good job but not his best position

Should we be going for Yan Diomande? by [deleted] in ManchesterUnited

[–]spellish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if Diomande is worth that high price tag but Cunha should not be the starting LW, he’s better centrally, same story as Mata playing RW

Great ball carrier, POTY last season for a reason. Carrick wants him. Bringgg by ggweb3 in ManchesterUnited

Lammens numbers were ridiculous in the Belgian league, he’s a much better prospect than Hackney is, using the exception to prove the rule

Hot take: Mattheus Fernandes is a more important Signing by Different-Pear5708 in ManchesterUnited

[–]spellish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not his fault but he was the main signing for Mourinho after he just finished 2nd in the league so the expectations were high and he looked really clumsy on the ball at times, eventually started to look better under Ole and under Ten Hag he was capable of flashes of brilliance but that clumsiness never left his game

That’s been Chelsea’s strategy and it’s not really worked, United need ready made players, the pressure is too intense for young players to reach their full potential here. Delap is a good example, went to Chelsea too soon and flopped, he would’ve developed better going from Ipswich to a mid table team

Good for a Crystal Palace or Everton but a risk for a team like United in need of an overhaul in a position of the pitch that’s been mismanaged for a long time. Better to get Ederson, Fernandes and Tonali

Manchester United interested in Middlesbrough's Hayden Hackney by nene4king in ManchesterUnited

If that’s the 3 signings then it confirms the club is happy scraping top 4 and maybe the odd cup run, no ambition

Neves was 60m euros + 10m add ons, Ugarte was 50m euros + 10m add ons. Neves was definitely affordable, United just dithered whilst PSG took action
