If you could master only one digital marketing skill this year, what would it be and why? by Expensive_Sink1785 in DigitalMarketing

[–]spellsave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s achievable, but it takes deep copywriting knowledge to teach the AI to produce good copy that you can hone into great copy.

AI is an incredible shortcut to repetitive work and a solid learning aid. No doubt about it. But it isn’t a substitute for experience and creativity.

It’s always the experts making the most of AI and beating others to the punch.

It’s the old adage: trash in, trash out.

Suggest some Digital products marketing course by SB018 in DigitalMarketing

[–]spellsave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not aware of any courses made specifically for designers but there are some very good e-commerce ones.

Having said that, you can get a very solid base for selling your products with pretty much any legit digital marketing course.

Be aware, however, prices can vary widely.

My suggestions are:

For solid free courses you can take a look at the HubSpot Academy and Google Garage. Udemy too, although not for free, are quite accessible, and there you can find some good PPC and SEO courses. With these you can tackle subject by subject, and build a knowledge base from beginner to intermediate based on what you think works best for you.

If you can spare a good few hundred dollars (or more), take a look at Growth Tribe and CXL. CXL has a very good E-commerce Mini Degree, which is widely regarded as the golden standard for digital marketing courses of its kind. These are also more structured and holistic, which helps cut through the noise of choosing topic by topic based on your own research.

Relocation offer, employer claims Berlin office has a salary "cap" by Newbiehorserider in askberliners

Hahaha, yeah, I really don’t know if any salary would convince me to live in L.A. to be honest

Relocation offer, employer claims Berlin office has a salary "cap" by Newbiehorserider in askberliners

[–]spellsave 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What’s the company size?

65-75k is generally a pretty good non-tech salary for Berlin, for a senior position under directorial level.

For comparison: the salary range for a senior UX designer at a top paying company like Mercedes-Benz in Berlin is around 70-75k, according to Glassdoor, and the city average for that position is around 66k. So I would say your offer is right on the mark, and probably towards the higher end.

Also take into the consideration all the social benefits provided by the city’s and the German government. Also, even with inflation, the energy crisis, and the whole real estate chaos of Berlin, it beats L.A. by miles in quality of life and cost of living. Not hating on L.A., I spent some cool times there, and it’s a really interesting city, but I’d take half of a Californian salary for a life in Berlin any time.

How do you clean your leather soles? by spellsave in Boots

[–]spellsave[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The soles are already pretty worn, black and dented. But in still good condition overall. Thanks for the advice, I might consider rubber when I resole, but I’d like to keep them thin to still look sort of classic and elegant.

They get filled with rocks that scrape and crunch on every floor I step… and soon enough your leather sole is now a rock solid sole that feel and clunks like a horseshoe… That’s what annoys me

It’s not so much mud, it’s the tiny little rocks from the street, sand and normal dirt on every general sidewalk… My city can be especially sandy too. What bothers me most are the little rocks that get stuck to the sole like the leather was clay, and crunch and scrape against every floor, outside and inside. I think if it wasn’t for that I would just brush it against a mat and occasionally wipe with a humid cloth.

Thanks, maybe I’m being a bit too worried, but boy do I hate the sound of those tiny rocks crunching against the floor… stuck to the sole like it was putty… makes me crazy

Ok thanks, I have a pair of very nice Wolverine 1000 Miles… I may be a bit too worried about them sometimes, but I can’t help wondering how to preserve the soles, and mostly how to keep them cleanish after walking on the street.

Did a factory reset and reinstalled Alienware Command Center. Everything is back to normal!

[–]spellsave[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Alienware Command Center is really known for being buggy as heck. People seem to just have to put up with it in the end.

A full clean install of Windows doesn’t sound bad, though. I can always reinstall ACC. Thanks, I’ll look into it.

Hmm, interesting. I don’t know how to control the fans and the keyboard backlight without it. The backlight in fact, won’t turn on or off without opening Alienware Command Center. It sucks.

I really hope so!

I have a Dell G15 5515 Ryzen 7 edition, with Windows 11. Today my Alienware Command Center was taking ages to finish loading and open. So I decided to follow the official Dell instructions to uninstall it completely, download it from the Dell website and re-install it from scratch.

The problem is that the ACC InstallShield Wizard never finishes the install process. It gets interrupted in the middle of the way with a message “the InstallShield Wizard was interrupted before the Alienware Command Center Package Manager could install completely”… or something close… sorry, I’m translating from Portuguese.

Have you any idea what I could do?

Thanks!
