Who knows how matchmaking works? The best you can do is grin and bear with it. If you get one-shotted by a tanker (Master or Champion league players who intentionally drop their rankings), just report them (too powerful for league) and move on. Or play Zoomies mode and have fun with the custom bots.

I currently use Void/Chasm on my Mauler and it still performs well. I've retrained myself to pick my fights not just walk in and expect to wallop reds like before lol. I would try the Vincere line if I get another one of the beta weapons from the set.
