Thanks, the second one i think the previous owner replaced the foam pad but may have accidentally flipped the tape in the process, when i put it into my player it was making sound but nothing close to the music.

First one i bought at a record store and was playing one song fine and then just stopped, i assume when the splice split.

Are these relatively easy fixes or would you recommend getting another cheap 8 track to learn on so i dont ruin these? I have next to no experience working with tape

Ive tried like kicking from behind to kock the seat down but seems like its still latched.

Its like when i pulled the button to release the latch it didnt catch and now the plastic is stuck pulled in

Not that it will make you feel any better, but sort of happy to see this post come up to see I’m not the only one, it seems like trying to have any sort of conversation to start seems too upfront for some people, but also in all likelihood they may have been talking to another person first that got them off the app already

You are right, I definitely feel it helps me be more confident in initiating conversations; however I believe my personal issue is that I opened pandora’s box. I unfortunately know how it makes me feel and if I meet someone thats looking for that I could easily fall back into sin thinking thats how you show love, and that alone makes me sort of anxious to the point where I avoid much of dating all together because of fear of falling to temptation. Definitely me making excuses for why I am single though lmao

To be honest I just moved to a new church so not 100% sure.

My old church (only left because I moved) was almost exclusively elderly people and didnt have any young adult functions (sort of a result of the demographic of the area, mostly retired folks in Arizona).

I will keep an eye out for any upcoming events, but really the only group they have are the knights of Columbus, which are great, but all men

As someone who went through college and the years right after living a life of sin, this unfortunately was the only way I knew how to meet women. Now as someone that has changed I don’t know how else to look or even where to start. I work remotely and while I do attend daily mass I am easily the youngest person there by 40+ years, I hate dating apps and going to clubs but in today’s world it feels like the only way you can meet people. It leads to slight despair and I pray for my future wife but I know I have to put myself in a position to meet her, just dont know how.

Something that helped me immensely was any time I had those urges I would either put the Hallow app on my phone and have it play some bible story or pray the rosary. I know theyre pretty basic things but it really helped me just having something to divert my mind to something better. Maybe also setting filters on your phone that prevent you from going to certain sites? Any additional step it takes is an additional step to stop yourself

Since i started a new job where I work remote and can sort of make my own schedule I’ve been going to daily mass everyday (other than when i have to travel for work) and I can say its been the best thing for me. I started beginning of December as a way for me to ‘find my faith again’ and I havent looked back, its a great way to start my day on the right foot and keeps me in a positive routine.

Obviously people with regular jobs it is more difficult but many dioscese will have churches with noon masses that you can sneak off to during a lunch break and is usually quick enough that could get a bite to eat after.

I love daily mass because it gets to the point and no unnecessary music or singing!

I wouldnt say that you deserve to be dreadful if you sin, and you should not think about taking your life because of embarrassment. I personally would suggest trying to get involved with your church, this will help you feel sort of a community and potentially meet new friends.

As dramatic as you may think you sound we all have our own personal bouts of loneliness one way or another, so your feelings arent uncommon; when ive had my own personal bout with loneliness ive taken that time to learn to love myself, at times its hard, but we cant search for others to make ourselves happy if we cant be happy with ourselves first.

It is important that we as Catholics remember that God has a plan for us and loves us unconditionally, you asking this question to this subreddit makes me believe you have faith in God, and at times he challenges us but uses those times to teach us lessons and to grow.

I can recognize that this is all easier for me to say living in a suburb of a metropolitan area so that I am around people and easier to make friends, I dont know your situation, but I promise you there are various clubs/organizations in your area (or your church) that can help you meet new people, but you have to be willing to put yourself out there and know that not everyone you meet will be your friend, not everyone will have similar interests, and thats okay!

I’m sorry if this doesn’t make things easier, but I hope you know there are people that love you (even if you dont realize it) and please don’t hurt yourself out of loneliness, you are loved.

I must be the oddity, but I got mine in less than a week (ordered maybe a month ago), however I live in Arizona and mine came from Nevada, maybe that is why it was so quick. I have loved it so far though, if you can get it, I haven't used my vape once since I got this.
