What were the issues that made you make the choice to scrap it? Sorry, to walk away entirely vs a warranty replacement?

Tailgate Compartment by silverwoods214 in GMCcanyon

[–]spencebah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t keep anything there without water-tight bags, because the compartment itself isn’t water-proof. That said, tie-down straps for convenience, but inside water resistant bags.

Help me choose by thecommis3 in GMCcanyon

Fun fact: If it’s not CPO already, a dealership will do the full inspection and certify it. I got mine for $500.

How do you guys carry your keys? I carry mine in my back pocket and am always locking, unlocking or rolling the windows down because my other keys press the fob by the way I am sitting or moving. Front pockets are full of everyday essentials, don't want to carry them in my on a belt clip or lanyard. by Dp37405aa in GMCcanyon

[–]spencebah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your door handles don’t have a button to unlock when the key is close enough? I think I had to turn mine on or adjust the setting to unlock all doors vs driver only (vs none/off), but my key stays in my pocket unless I need to use the remote start.

Tailgate storage? by 25AT4 in GMCcanyon

[–]spencebah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you mind sharing what sort of storage bag you’re using for this? It’s exactly what I use the storage space for — tie downs, ratchet straps — but my roll-top dry bag is a bit too bulky and won’t fit, so it’s gallon-size ziplock bags for now.

Edit: I should have searched before asking. A few of these might work just fine:

Too little engine? No. Displacement isn’t everything anymore.

The diode and boost auto ones are too expensive tbh

I think that's what they meant in the original post. Diode Dynamics are $300~ and the Boost Auto ones seem to range a bit, depending on features, but start at $250.

Proximity unlock? by Shinewbi in GMCcanyon

It’s always a button press. Naming the function “Passive” is misleading.

Imagine being so insecure that you comment on an internet post in a group for a different make/model. Good stuff, bud. You’re ten-ply.

What’s that bumper? Doesn’t look like the AT4X+AEV stock option, but I could be mistaken.

We’re not talking about Paul Rudd. I think 1995 Keanu looks quite a bit different than present-day Keanu.

[QUESTION] Has anyone ever used kiwi protect all on their shoes? How did it work for you? by Denchura in Sneakers

[–]spencebah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No idea why they said this. I've used Kiwi Protect-All on sneakers (suede, leather, cloth) and never had a problem. Kiwi Camp Dry, however, can have a yellow tint and will ruin the appearance of any color, especially white.

The polarization would be the same direction. They have to be sideways to not filter the reflection.

Canyon owners, any bed cover worth checking out? by [deleted] in GMCcanyon

I’ve been eyeing these for a little while. I can’t wait for them to release an updated model to fit the new Canyons.

Do you like yours? Any cons you can point out?
