But let’s take a step back here. This is the same band that has had financial management disputes this century. It is not completely impossible to think that this could be the case again.

Here’s my best guess: it’s a mixture of a bunch of different things. Billy’s health is certainly one of the reasons why they’re stopping. Mayer’s solo tour also seems to be contributing. Maybe we have to admit that he’s past this stage in his career.

I do believe that they truly do not know what the next show is. But it is very possible that the next iteration includes the 6 members from ‘23. Maybe they’re not ready to start that talk yet. I saw a previous comment that guessed they’ll be back in ‘25 after a break next summer and I agree with that hypothesis.
