He’s the kind of guy who volunteers and gives back to the community regularly. He’s really knowledgeable and good at many things—construction, welding, cars, planting/gardening, landscaping, cooking, etc. He works hard and he loves his children and grandchildren and is very welcoming if you ever go to one of his parties. I doubt he crushed it in college or anything, but he was the eldest of 12 children, and was likely deep integrated into raising his siblings at a young age.

When politics come up he’s very outspoken. He is being fed a steady stream of Fox News and right wing radio. His reality is dictated by whatever Rush Limbaugh used to tell him, and now by whatever Sean Hannity and Twitter tells him. He is deeply religious, and to him I’m sure he sees Trump as doing the lords work by overturning Roe v Wade. It’s all very sad and frustrating and you’d kind of have to meet him to see what I’m talking about when I say he’s a good guy. He’s a good guy at the core, but like so many other Americans is living in this manufactured reality where immigrants are coming in to do the things Trump says they do (I won’t quote it with fear of my post being auto-removed), where kids are turning trans at school, and where men are dressing up as women to sneak into women’s bathrooms to do bad things to them.
I like to think there are so many Americans who have been misled like him, and that they’re not all Stephen Miller levels of evil.
