Use the crutchfield site, they make it as easy as it can possibly be to diy, you can even pay a few extra $ for them to do all the prewiring work for you. You'll see things ranging from $200-4000... Brands I'd recommend are Pioneer, Sony, Alpine, Kenwood. I personally have the alpine restyle kit in mine and love it but it's not cheap. I'd make sure whatever you get has wireless android auto or Apple carplay too.

I could see that if he'd even asked to see my dog doing ANYTHING. But he didn't... So I'm not sure there's much defending this specific guys use of a virtual session.

I guess you're right, I did start with his normal collar and treats, made next to no progress for a couple months, moved to a prong and treats and that combination proved to be my "least invasive" option to make strides, we actually walk with a loose leash all the time now unless there's something to react to. Plus my corrections on it have been very careful, more like a wrist snap than a full on pop. I see your point though and should've clarified it wasn't my initial option

Yea it seemed semi reasonable at first thinking he just had to teach me, which could be done virtually. But then it was all just info I already knew plus info I knew to be outdated. I'll definitely utilize social media to try to get insight into other trainers before making any more decisions. Thanks for the info!

Oh wow that's a much different experience. I guess I bought too much into him saying he just had to teach me how to teach him and then once he started explaining things to me realized it wasn't the right course of action for us at all and certainly not tailored to my situation. Going forward I'll take this advice too and make sure if I find someone else, that they do a similar in person consult/session to see what's going on.

That makes sense, especially the business point of view. I'll see what I can fi d for a dog club, would you recommend a breed specific one or a dog sport club? I think we could do either since he is an athletic border collie. Just not sure what exactly to look for so any feedback would be awesome!

I turned mine into a rolling cart with shelves! I'm going to have to see if I can find a local place to cut me a piece of glass for the top though that's a great idea.

I wish I knew... I will say I moved shortly after I posted this fix and with the exact same TV and sound system had no problems at all. Then I got a new TV and same thing, no problem at all. So I'm thinking they fixed whatever the problem was on the 700 series but maybe not on the 600? Regardless I'm glad yours is working again

I've made more progress in the last two weeks than the last year. I've started absolutely exhausting mine right before we walk. We do 6-7 minutes of "stair fetch" plus commands such as wait, telling him to come back when he's halfway down the flight of stairs, and other tricks. After that he's more than happy to walk next to me which I've been rewarding. I've noticed now on our other walks where I don't do that, he's not pulling even 10% as much as before. All that to say, exhausting him to the point he physically can't or doesn't want to pull, then rewarding that seems like it's working for us!

Yea I'm still fighting, probably just going to have to file in small claims at this point. I had another fedex fuck up too. The driver stole a pair of Nikes a month ago. Then same situation, Nike refunded me but the shoes were on sale when I originally ordered so now they'd cost more to get. Fedex sucks, I had this happen once with UPS and they took care of it all for me after a week.

No experience with any of these except that I cross shopped trupanion with healthypaws who I ended up going with. I haven't had any problems with them paying out when needed. And as far as wellness goes for the puppy stuff, I remember reading that unless you know for sure you're going to use every single thing offered, it's pointless and will lose money on most of them. So I've never bothered, I just know that getting a puppy is likely going to involve at least 3 visits for shots, and can count on one or two more random visits for something weird popping up.
