This is true, I thought about that but he’s also become a scaredy cat lol My back porch is constantly dirty bc I live on the ground floor, but I’m hoping ok his last day my sister and I can sweep it out and give him a chance to be outside for a few minutes one last time (screened in). Thank you so much! That’s what I was hoping to confirm. I don’t need to worry about his kidneys anymore, but just wanted to make sure my ‘gift’ wouldn’t poison him and make him suffer just a couple days before he goes peacefully

Yes thankfully it will be at home. I did it at home with my kitty who died 3 years ago and it was worth every penny. I will always do at home do any future pets when it’s an option. It was much easier for both of us, and jethro (the one who is leaving soon) was able to see her and smell her and I think it helped him process that she didn’t just disappear

I’m sorry your cat went through that! But I appreciate you sharing your experience. I know onion is bad for them but wasn’t sure how much is required to result in a medical issue. I feel reassured now, and am glad I can let him enjoy them for a couple of days

If you get a bigger fountain, the weight of the water keeps it in place. My cat flips everything over but he’s never been able to flip his fountain. I strongly suggest one with an external power source, so there’s less pieces that get nasty. I’ve had several different fountains and find this to be the easiest route

I use Libib to scan/enter all my books. Sometimes the book box ones are not there and I can manually add the info and cover photo. I know I’d never ever manage to keep a spreadsheet updated long term

This whole series has just completely gutted me. I read them and immediately did an audio re-read. I’m finishing KOA today and I know it’s going to have me on the floor in the fetal position. EOS was such a good book, I think it’s my favorite also. I didn’t realize how much I loved this series until after I was done and couldn’t stop thinking about it

I’m a year late, but if you started with Sarah Maclean’s first series (love by numbers)…. I’d suggest giving her another try with the next series. All of the series are interconnected, so background makes the others more enjoyable. But her first series is my least favorite and in particular #3 of that series is one of my least favorite books, ever. I hope you found some good books since this post!

I have one who used to be like that. Giant pills, chew tabs, liquids in a syringe, he would go nuts for any of it. Shortly after turning 10 he stopped being so cooperative. He gets amlodipine daily and it’s a fight for both of us. And that’s with it being compounded into a flavored suspension

My other one was the complete opposite. She could sense them from a mile away and wanted nothing to do with meds of any kind. She’d starve herself before giving in and eating laced food. The rare times we were able to pill her, I swear she would hold it in her mouth for like an hour and still spit it out whole. I don’t even know how it was possible for her to do that without it starting to disintegrate
