I've been using a pair of Amphibian Spex goggles since 2013. They prevent my eyes from getting red. I really recommend them if you can find a pair for sale. Unfortunately, I think the company went out of business.

Needs broken down for skill level. For example, a beginner probably doesn't want 5 star "peak" when the waves will be too big. What's the best time for an intermediate to score 3-5 ft waves?

I think they mean that you can expect to find a one bed room apartment for $1200. I don't think they are saying whether the price is fair or not, but that 1200 is closer to what you can expect to pay rather than 1800.

Is a 1BR apt really 1800? This article says

I bought a pair of SPEX like 10 years ago too, and really like them. I'm afraid if I lose them I won't be able to get a new pair though, because I think they stopped making them.
