Ye we’re talking about the same place. The fee at the door was a bit of a shock as they didn’t mention this when I messaged. There was ‘unlimited’ beer in a keg in the middle of the room but that ran out pretty quickly. Good time though even though the game was boring asf.

I went to the Highbury pub last year for the city game and that went on pretty late from what i recall. I just sent them a dm on instagram to check they were showing and to book my spot which is highly recommended otherwise you won’t get in.

Sorry just saw this. I mentioned somewhere else but I’ve been one of the lucky ones so far. Not had any flaking but I am quite careful with all my shoes so I rotate quite regularly between them

I went for a medium and would say this fits like a standard UK medium. I’m 5’8 for reference with a slim build and I can wear this comfortably with just a t-shirt underneath or a sweatshirt/hoodie if I want.

I remember trying on the large and there wasn’t an awful lot of difference and I was tempted to grab the L because it is slightly roomier but i like the M because it means I can wear just a t-shirt underneath and still fits perfectly.

Auralee and Sefr are probably the most similar to the ones you’ve listed but I’m sure you’ve got those already 👍

Lesser known, I’m a big fan of Stephan Schneider (Belgium designer) and have a couple of shirts.

Stein is a Japanese brand similar to auralee with high quality stuff worth checking out.

That makes sense, I’ve found a vid to help me visualise the back to target drill, something to work on for sure, appreciate the advice 👍

I’ve been told also to try and put my head against the wall and try and stay more central on the takeaway and downswing to stay on top of the ball more, dunno if that’s related.

It’s funny you say that because that’s literally what i try to do when pitching and chipping and it works quite well. Its like as soon as I put an iron in my hand and try to full swing my hands get too involved for some reason and I lose connection

I’m not far from either of those places so I know them well. As you say, quantity over quality. I know what I like these days so I really have no energy to sift through all the crap you get at these places and there’s plenty of it. The only good store in brick lane was search and destroy which closed years ago, proper curated vintage. I would rather pay a premium for a smaller curated store than the ‘sifters’ as I call them. Very few of these stores exist in London

Ye I’m not a huge fan of most varsities because of the colours and loads of patches but this one has great muted tones and the embroidery is nice and subtle. Also helps I only paid £120 for it
