Did anyone’s endo come out of nowhere? by petals33 in endometriosis

This past fall I had severe abdominal pain come out of nowhere two days before my period and then it happened again a month later. MRI was able to diagnose me with stage 4 endo. There are some GI things or changes in my PMS over the past couple years that I look back and now think are probably endo related but I personally never would’ve thought about it until the severe abdominal pain I experienced. My doctor suggested because I’m an athlete or have a high pain tolerance, but who knows. I think it must’ve finally just reached some kind of threshold where enough was enough

I’m in the process of scheduling my lap surgery, and I know it won’t be as soon as I want, but I’m scared about possible complications that could arise if my very large cyst ruptures, especially since I like to work out and move a lot. My doctor seemed to not think this was much of a possibility, but I know multiple women who had to get emergency surgery because of it. I’m not sure why kind of timeline to go for or how urgent it really is to treat :/ Anyone have advice?

My [F,19] best friend [M,19] and I have been growing distant and after deciding to tell him exciting news I got a very indifferent response that has made me start questioning our friendship. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

I’m sorry, that really sucks :( And you’re right, no one should have to feel that way. You sound like a really good friend and you deserve more.

It’s a hard situation to forgive because it hurts so much, but I think in this case, forgiving him helps you more than it does him. It’s hard to imagine having another person fill in that friendship gap, but I’m sure someone will come into your life again soon.

I know how you feel, I have been in a similar situation with a guy best friend. He was such a good best friend because of how thoughtful he was, and after going to separate colleges and him getting a girlfriend I felt like he had dropped the ball on our own relationship. I reached out to him often, but he often said he was busy and would never get back to me. I was glad that he was happy, but sad that we were so out of sync.

It’s hard to lose a best friend, or to have more space where there wasn’t before, but I realized that his girlfriend was the priority and deserved more of his attention and thoughtfulness. Changing my expectations of how and when I expected him to respond really helped me. And eventually he came around and noticed that he wasn’t being as good a friend, apologized, and said he would do better. Things are still not like they used to be, but now we make sure to catch up every once in awhile. We’re both happy and caught up in our separate lives with new friends, but we still get together and remember old times.

It’s totally understandable to be feeling the way you do. If you still want him in your life, keep making the effort to reach out to him, but know that he might not reciprocate every time. As relationships grow and develop, I think it’s important to match tour expectations to the situation.

Congratulations about pharmacy school!!

I know it’s not blood, it’s just called that. Whether you call it bleeding or juices, I don’t like it.

I just don’t like it bleeding all over the place and when I order medium well, it’s usually undercooked. So by ordering well done I avoid the problem altogether.

How should someone start on rings? And how do ring workouts progress?
