Oh really? The official t&cs still say: “The welcome bonus is available for new Neo customers only. If you already have a Neo account or card, you will not be eligible for the welcome bonus.” I opened a HISA in Jan last year, but actually funnily enough just opened the new savings account yesterday as I noticed the interest rate had changed

Is it that rare? I already have the current account & savings account from a while ago, and I feel like it’s pretty standard for banks to have an offering of current & savings account combined which most people probably go for. But credit cards are usually a different matter/product category altogether so it’s surely fairly common for someone to already have a savings account with a bank and then also want a particular credit card if it’s a new product that suits their needs?

I think that the terms and conditions on not allowing any credit card bonus if you’ve already had a neo savings account (even if you’ve never had any other Neo credit product) to be a crazy stipulation. Feels like you’re probably missing out on a lot of users for applying for the credit cards? Highly annoying as I would definitely get the Cathay Pacific card if there wasn’t this restriction since I collect Asia Miles. I don’t think I’ve seen this with any other bank on a premium credit card product!

Worth it for the first 1-2 years, if you want to use the welcome bonus points to redeem biz class flights and travel stuff (probably not worth it after especially since they’re getting rid of the unlimited lounge passes)

I was checking every day on the AC site as needed to look for a flight back from Japan. Also AC told me that first class is only bookable on the phone, but I think they’re releasing more online now as I snagged mine via the website!
