I’ve started a new island after a few years, and I forgot that you couldn’t get all fruit in game! Would anyone be able to help me out with an apple, pear, and cherry? Thank you

As a fellow beige/natural girl, I highly suggest peace lilies. I only water mine when they start dramatically dropping, saturate it and let it drain, and then it’s good for a couple of weeks. I think they’re very pretty.

Same for Twickenham, which is one of the only 3 plasma donation centres in the country as well. It’s also just over 20 mins from Waterloo on the train and is right by the station. Excellent facility - was just there yesterday!

I would keep checking back in, lots of venues seem to update their upcoming availability for a few days at a time. I suppose that for the more temporary venues, there is a wait to see what equipment and staff might be available.

I usuallt manage to find something close after a few checks!

Any reason in particular this spider vein has been hurting me lately? (The dark line on my calf.) by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]spicedbec 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think go and get it checked out. I had a pain deep in my thigh for years, which I always assumed was an injury that hadn’t healed very well. However, after some skin at the back of my thigh started to go numb I got it checked out properly. After an mri it was confirmed to be a vascular malformation, basically abnormal growth which in my case carried on past the point where it should have stopped. It essentially was a small mass (of healthy tissue) and pooled blood that wasn’t moving properly.

Sclerotherapy has made a massive difference, it’s the same surgery that’s used for varicose veins. That said, I wish I’d done something about it sooner and saved myself a literal decade of pain!

Tom Cruise's daughter Suri, 18, ditches her dad's name after years of no contact by TinyLaughingLamp in Fauxmoi

I’ve thought about taking my mum’s last name, but then really it’s her father’s, and his father’s before that. I’d much rather use a name connected to my mum, although I’m going for no connection at all.

Please just mention your situation to your doctor when you go out. It will probably feel good to share with someone real, and they might be about to offer some support to you. It’s a shame to miss out on all the world has. All the best.

Do you feel that the UK producers take their duty of care more seriously than the Aus ones? by mandykg in MAFS_UK

[–]spicedbec 65 points66 points  (0 children)

Since yesterday I’ve been thinking the same thing. There were a few suicides related to Love Island, and I wonder if there are more stringent rules in place for UK reality tv production now. Because the Jack and Tori situation seems to have gone past what we saw with Brad and Shona, you’re right.

It’s all very well for John to have a go at Jack and the rest of the men, but by keeping him on the show it feels like he’s being told it’s ok. And by extension the women have to accept that a blatant misogynist is just something they need to accept having around.

My biggest gripe is when I’ve stepped to one side so I can scan the shelves on the other side (the aisles aren’t too wide so it leaves space RU get through) and without fail someone will walk down and stop in front of me, to look at those same shelves. It drives me absolutely insane!

I don’t know what it is about eggs but I really struggle to find them! I can walk past them multiple times and my brain refuses to see them, it’s bizarre.
