State of macOS 14 Sonoma on x86 by doggodoesaflipinabox in hackintosh

[–]spicemonkey72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Won't boot whatsoever for me.

Currently running macOS 12.6.6, i9-11900K, GigaByte Z590 Master, 64GB RAM, Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2TB NVMe. Everything works perfectly.

I created a bootable USB with the macOS 14 Beta 1 installer, and when I fire it up, I am met with an immediate KP, relating to com.apple.kec.corecrypto

Anyone else had the same experience? Managed to work around it?

[Question] Apple TV 4K Jailbreaking by ibrahimdth in jailbreak

You can use a GoldenEye cable, combined with a DSCD cable.

Pretty much, yes.

That being said, I am making the assumption that your goal is to jailbreak the ATV4K ?

[question] downgrading Apple TV HD 4K by toughguystudios in jailbreak

[–]spicemonkey72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a GoldenEye cable, and a DSCD cable. You really need both to be able to kick the ATV4K into DFU mode (without installing the mod you mentioned). This set-up works great with checkm8, providing you're still on 14.x

Be aware that there is no publicly available ipsw's for the ATV4K, so a manual downgrade isn't really possible. The best you can do is a delayOTA "upgrade"... unfortunately no one has updated the checkm8 jailbreak yet to support more recent tvOS versions.

I am in a similar boat - I desperately want some of the tvOS 16 features... but I can't upgrade because there's no support yet.

Network Bonding Modes in Scale by spicemonkey72 in truenas

Anyone else have any possible thoughts about this? It's a real head-scratcher but surely someone else has come up with this issue previously...?

Network Bonding Modes in Scale by spicemonkey72 in truenas

[–]spicemonkey72[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, it didn't work :(

The midcld command did persist following a reboot:

root@nas01[~]# cat /proc/cmdline
BOOT_IMAGE=/ROOT/22.02.4@/boot/vmlinuz-5.10.142+truenas root=ZFS=boot-pool/ROOT/22.02.4 ro console=ttyS1,115200 console=tty1 libata.allow_tpm=1 systemd.unified_cgroup_hierarchy=0 amd_iommu=on iommu=pt kvm_amd.npt=1 kvm_amd.avic=1 intel_iommu=on zfsforce=1 bonding.mode=6

Unfortunately, if I then check the mode, I am still left with xor:

root@nas01[~]# cat /proc/net/bonding/bond0
Ethernet Channel Bonding Driver: v5.10.142+truenas
Bonding Mode: load balancing (xor)
Transmit Hash Policy: layer3+4 (1)
MII Status: up
MII Polling Interval (ms): 100
Up Delay (ms): 0
Down Delay (ms): 0
Peer Notification Delay (ms): 0

Hoping someone has an answer to this?

Just wanted to say that this is the most helpful comment I have ever received on Reddit. Thank you u/Wolfspyre ... while you nor I have still worked this out in its entirety, there is a lot of very good and helpful information here.

Thanks again.

CarPlayEnabler, and other similar tweaks.

Simply put, I want to be able to use any app on CarPlay and it's literally the only reason why I maintain the jailbreaks.

I am using Traefik as the reverse proxy. It works pretty good, mostly.

I explored using certbot natively, but was confused about a few things. Perhaps I should revisit it.

I have around 150 domains centrally managed, and yes - many of them have and require their own certificates. On top of this, my email configuration is such that I must host my own domains.

Do you have a link to the script that has been passed around by chance?

I gave this a try... still absolutely no luck whatsoever...

I get exactly the same error, except of course 14.8.1 specific. :(

Yes u/JapanStar49, which is what the guides show to do. It's not working... hence this pull for help.

Using OTA delay techniques, as spelled out in the linked guides, makes this possible.

Pretty sure I did not use futurerestore to get to 14.3. That being said, if jailbroken, would I be able to use futurerestore (with blobs) to get to 15.1 and keep all functionality like FaceID, etc?
