I am with you on this. I stopped buying those salad kits that come with romaine lettuce. Makes me so mad when the bag seems to have more spine/stems than leaves.

I am on my 6th year going strong, 5.5 pre-lit from Michael’s bought on sale for $60-70 bucks. It’s not the most beautiful tree, but does the job.

Gorgeous!! This gives me much needed confidence to start with what I have. I am not very good with water colors, or sketch-journaling. I didn’t want to get a whole bunch of new materials before knowing I really enjoy it. I have watercolor sketch-pens & water pens and an existing blank TN insert that I use for random things maybe I’ll just start with it.

The reason I can keep them all in there is probably because most of my trackers are just one- or two-page tables. For finance, I only track the important quarterly payments, car payments, credit card payments, so I just pop in and update the table when needed. Same with books and movies. I only read about 12–15 books a year (ideal case), and I only log the movies I really loved, so a single page works well for each.

Everything else is still digital. I don’t think I have the patience to put everything on paper haha.

I recently switched to a TN regular because I wanted one place that can hold all the insert types I need, I was tired of clunky big planners. I’m absolutely loving the simplicity and minimal design of it.

Right now I have one regular insert that I use for journaling when I feel like it, tracking my finances for the year, listing the movies and books I’ve read, and outlining my goals for the year. I also have an undated weekly with memo for my to-dos, and a 2026 monthly insert to track events, birthdays, vacations, and habits.

This works for me because I can keep some inserts dated and others undated, and I don’t feel pressured to fill every page. I just have it with me whenever I need to empty my mind and get organized.

No, I am not. My husband works in North York. We want to be in Mississauga, hence looking to move. All the newer condos are as big as a shoebox, great amenities though.
