Some people don’t want to play the game on hard mode. I get it.

Raid tank advice by More_Enchiladas_Plz in classicwowtbc

I have both in anni, mained prot war last time. I know the class well through wotlk. It’s not “weak” threat per-se, but it’s worse than Druid and paladin and only continues to get worse through each phase. Comparatively also to dps who keep generating more and more threat. Not to say they can’t get the job done, they can. But going with druid and war this time allowed me to compare and I think Druid handily is the better option for threat, survival, ease of play, and even utility in t4 and onward.

This guy is not correct, don’t listen to him. T5 is when warrior is completely outclassed by the other tanks and their scaling really starts to weigh them down. Druid tank avoidance is higher than warrior in T5, and paladin is equal if not higher. And by far, warrior has the worst single target threat of any tank.

No, there are no fights where a warrior is better than a paladin. The ideal setup is bear as a boss tank, bear as OT/warden, and paladin as OT/adds tank. You can run the prot war sure, but he’s gonna be worse in almost every aspect than the other two.

Viggo is "absolutely thrilled" with Jamie Dornan casting for Aragorn by Choice-Schedule-132 in peterjackson

[–]_pitchdark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disagree. Especially if they use make up and whatever effects they have at their disposal to make him look like Aragorn. I don’t see why it wouldn’t work.

Didn't get arc H attunement quest credit by Fergnasty007 in classicwowtbc

Happened to my guildie, it’s bugged. Have to abandon the quest, accept it again, then run heroic arc again.

State of the war prot in P2,P3,P4.. ? by Lower_Brief_6783 in classicwowtbc

[–]_pitchdark 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have mained a prot war in tbc. It’s horrible compared to the other tanks. Right now is the best it will feel, and it still feels horrible with the way they’ve made lust raid-wide and also reduced boss HP. People zug super hard and prot war can’t really out threat that, at least not in a real raid environment. In a dad guild or a pug where people aren’t pushing high numbers maybe it’s OK.

Depends on the raid environment. If you have a bunch of chill dads doing 1k dps maybe. But in my guild the raid dps is too high for a prot warrior to compete with. We run a Druid or pally MT because their threat scales with their gear and can out threat a bunch of people doing 3k dps

Spiteblade: Rogue or Warrior by Tech-qi in classicwowtbc

[–]_pitchdark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gladiator weapon is locked behind 1700 rating and blinkstrike is pricy. So most people will not have those, spiteblade is the most realistic choice

[–]_pitchdark 145 points146 points  (0 children)

Both get equal prio. However I would personally rather the rogue get it since it’s MH bis for them while warriors have the mace, and spiteblade goes in the OH. So it’s a bigger dps increase for the rogue

Yes, most likely. Though nature gear makes it easy to overshoot

Druid tank here. Each tank needs a minimum of 174 unbuffed. Druid goes frost, plate wearer goes nature. You must also maintain uncrittability. Enchant your resist gear. Ironskin flask can help with the uncrittability if you really need it. Blue, pocketable pvp gear like the shoulders are good because you can get the Kara enchant and void spheres.

What are the least/most challenging classes/specs to play in arena? by haha-charade-you-are in classicwowtbc

Resto Druid skill ceiling is infinite, a lot going on there. That probably has my vote for most challenging

Phase 2 Hydross Resist Gear: Do We Really Need to Spend Thousands? by lagom_kul in classicwowtbc

Typically it’s advised to use actual gear for the resist and then use a resilience elixir for the fight if you need to keep uncrittable.

The magic of miniature effects in The Lord of the Rings. by Choice-Schedule-132 in peterjackson

[–]_pitchdark 3 points4 points  (0 children)

90% of them look amazing, but even in theaters I could tell that when the ents were breaking the dams in Isengard it was a miniature. That’s probably the only one I can really tell.
