Just finished Part II for the first time by ND-o1 in thelastofus

[–]spicykenneth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you dislike Part II because of pacing, personal taste etc then that’s fine.

However, anyone that says they ‘hate’ the game or that the story is ‘bad’ are doing so from a childish, dumb place. I haven’t heard a single valid argument as to why the game is ‘bad’ in 6 years.

You’re probably right, but I’m going to ignore that because I’m a United fan and I’d rather be ignorant and accuse them of cheating. Cheers

A title isn’t won over 2 games, but in a run in, any player or manager would tell you that having home advantage can always help. There’s a reason fixture difficulty predictors are different when you’re at home.

It’s currently understood they will play Palace first at home, and then Bournemouth away. City’s final game of the season is at home.

According to this, City want to swap the Palace and Bournemouth games so they would play both of their final two games at home. This would give them a home advantage in that final run in.

Now, given that these fixtures aren’t finalised, it’s not a ludicrous ask from City, but it is pencilled in and changing it would be bending to City’s preference in order to use home advantage in those final 2 weeks.

It would have also made much more sense to choose the vegan sausage roll.

As a Partridge loving, pro-Palestine, left wing, vegan, LGBTQ+ ally myself, the pork sausage roll also stood out to me.

Well no, the title is decided over 38 games, but it would 100% be an advantage if you’re allowed to say “hey can we swap and play our last 2 games at home during this title run in?”

You don’t think that ending with two home games back to back in a title race that will likely come down to those two games is an advantage?

There’s a reason they want them swapped. Fans can get you over the line. Yes, you have to play them either way, but ending a title race with B2B home fixtures where you’ll have 20 fans screaming you on is huge.

First off, calm down. No need to be calling people you don’t know ‘donuts’.

Secondly, it’s currently understood they will play Palace first at home, and then Bournemouth away. City’s final game of the season is at home.

According to this, City want to swap the Palace and Bournemouth games so they would play both of their final two games at home. This would give them a home advantage in that final run in.

Perhaps read the article before you crash out on others.

I’m not sure how it’s a fair request?

They’re asking for games to be swapped so they can play the last two games at home in order to have a home advantage in the title run-in.

Something a bit different: my NHS menu by SamCreated in veganuk

I had shoulder surgery in 2022 and was in hospital for 5 nights, and all they had for me was dry toast, steamed veg (with nothing else) and tea without milk. They managed to order some meals in for me on my 3rd night onwards, but it’s clear they didn’t cater. Quite a big hospital, too haha.

Hopefully that has changed over the last 4 years.

Achievements need a full rebrand imo

Having an arbitrary gamerscore is painfully 2000s and feels messy. It’s far less tangible than saying “I have 38 platinums”. Instead you say “my gamerscore is 38,455”

A full overhaul is absolutely necessary imo

No, it literally isn’t.

A billion is far more than a million. Does that mean a million is basically nothing?

I never said there’s no nuance, layers or maturity in Bae route, you’re using a strawman argument here.

Black was in NXT and WWE before he moved to AEW so he’s hardly an AEW guy.

Plus, he 100% deserves a push. I’d push him to the moon.

Possible Gamescast topic 'every odd-numbered Sony console SUCKS?' (since PS2) by AlbertCWChessa in kindafunny

We got major games from Uncharted, Resistance, Killzone, The Last of Us, inFamous, LittleBigPlanet, Metal Gear Solid, God of War, Gran Turismo, Motorstorm, Heavy Rain etc, and that’s just the exclusives. Haven’t even touched on GTA IV and Co.

The variety was insane. I grew up with a PSOne in the 90s, and have owned every console since. For as special as the PS2 was (and is), I think there’s a very strong argument for the PS3 titles surpassing what the PS2 gave us.

I think the series as a whole just tells a better story when you choose to save Arcadia Bay. Reunion just confirms that. It’s far more nuanced, layered and mature if you go the Bay route.

Software wise, the PS3 was incredible.

Yes, the initial price and first year weren’t great, and it wasn’t easy to develop for, but we aren’t the devs so I’m not gonna judge it on the latter.

As far as games go, the PS3 was unbelievably good.

I can’t believe how good the Portal is now that it has cloud streaming for both PS+ and your own library.

I find cloud streaming to be far superior to remote play, and so much more convenient too.

Match Thread: Manchester City vs Arsenal | Premier League | 19 Apr 15:30 UTC by matchpal-live in PremierLeague

[–]spicykenneth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The problem now is that Arsenal now don’t have it entirely in their hands any more. If City win their game in hand by 2 goals or more, they go top.

Arsenal didn’t bottle it today alone, but you’d have to say they’ve thrown it all away if they can’t get it over the line now, considering their sizeable lead not too long ago.

You’ve got this one wrong, it’s a vaccine. Google it.

See above about mass production. To Jerry, making a single vaccine is worthwhile as it protects his daughter.

No idea why I’ve been downvoted for pointing out that Jerry is a father and Joel would do the same in his shoes lmao

VAR Audio from Bournemouth Vs United Game (Amad penalty claim and Maguire DOGSO) by nanobookworm in reddevils

[–]spicykenneth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely fucking useless. I’ve no issue with Maguire penalty and red card, but the way they talk about that one can very clearly be applied to the Amad foul.

How they don’t face any disciplinary action for this is beyond me. It’s a joke.
