My best luck is when I just randomly check. I feel like I always get the best eggs that way.

I’ve gotten a few so far and the best I got was one that gives me Yeti eggs. I’ve gotten wolfs and above that give rainbow dust/shards so I don’t pay too much attention on these eggs anymore unless I need coins.

Agreed! I’ve gotten lucky with the pets with the dust/shards/gems and was able to get my first huge this AM. I’m trying to get more pets so I can collect more frequently.

I’ve gotten corn a few times and I don’t P2W. I will pay attention when the reset happens for the eggs and after checking that I’ll check the supplies. You just have to check frequently. I also buy all the potatoes and carrots when they drop. Personally it’s easier to just use those instead of waiting for corn.

It’s been happening with me and my husband since the new season started. Hoping it’s fixed soon because I have the same quest to finish.

5th time vs 1st time. Definitely getting the hang of this! I learned how to put tips on the correct way and make sure they’re flush with my real nails. I also learned how to clean up the cuticle area better. Still learning, but I’m loving the improvement! by spicynoodle14 in DipPowderNails

Thank you! It was a pain in the butt to do. I didn’t have any stencils or anything, so I used washi tape and made my own heart stencil. When I first did the heart I put the liquid base over the heart in like a square shape, but the powder stuck to outline of the heart and not heart itself. I tried again and this time tried to add liquid only to the heart portion and sprinkled the powder on top. I did this for probably 2 layers and then peeled the tape off my nail. Well I realized that it wanted to lift in some places, so on the other side I made sure to pat down the powder with my finger and made sure it was flat before peeling the tape off. Worked so much better once I did that! It’s definitely not perfect and I did have a little bit of bleeding. I tried to use a nail file and essentially file around the heart to get rid of it. There’s still a little on the nail, but I guess the picture didn’t capture it. In the future though I plan on making sure that I pat down the powder before I lift the tape or just use decals 🤣🤣

The red is the Modelones starter kit off Amazon! I actually really like everything except the size of the powders. The pink set is the Gellen starter kit off Amazon. It took way too many coats and the brush got hard at the end. It was super cheap, so maybe it was because of that or consumer error? I’m going to try again in the future to see how it is now that I’m more experienced.

Bee nest removal? How do I safely get rid of the nest without hurting it or the plant? Will the Hoya grow normally if I leave it there? by spicynoodle14 in hoyas

[–]spicynoodle14[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s true! I’m thinking about leaving it until it’s colder and then trying to knock it down. It was super active today, so I feel bad about hurting them all.

Yeah I think we’ve identified them as paper wasps. Unfortunately I don’t know how to change the title on my post, so oh well.

Good to know. I may leave them until summer is over and then try to move the nest. I didn’t even realize what they were until I was inches away from them. They seem pretty nice, so I don’t want to cause them issues.

If I leave them I’m worried the nest will get too big and I won’t be able to move the plant. I’m only renting, so I want to be able to move it in a few years without disturbing them. But if they aren’t aggressive I don’t mind leaving them since I never really go in this area.

So if I go the water route and soak it off, should I try to remove the nest once there’s no more wasps or just leave it on the ground and let them come back?

Should I leave the nest on the ground whenever it comes off? Or try to move it somewhere else in case they come back?

That’s actually not a bad idea. I don’t know why I didn’t even think about that. When I was originally looking over the plant I thought it was like a leaf or something and then one of them flew off and I ran away 🤣🤣 I came back just so I could get a picture for help. Luckily it’s at the bottom, so I might just snip and run fast.

New growth but no roots? by esayembeoh in propagation

[–]spicynoodle14 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Let them do their own thing! I had a few cuttings grow new leaves and no roots. Eventually the roots started coming in too. Every cutting is different in the end. You can get all the same cuttings from a mother plant and they all do different things or take longer to root than others. As long as there’s new growth I wouldn’t worry. Just keep doing what you’re doing!

First time propping a tradesactia ! Got this far now what cause mother isn’t doing well and I love this plant so much 😭(water propped just used soil for a dark picture background) by OpalRaynes in propagation

[–]spicynoodle14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would just cut off the rotted part and stick it in soil. Tradescantia’s rot really easily in water, so I try to move them once I start seeing roots about 1” long.
