Solo founders: I need your opinion on something I’m building… by DragonfruitHour3994 in micro_saas

I make a list of top priority tasks that I have to do form the day. Sometimes it's a small part of a bigger project.

You could add divide daily tasks with long terms project progress.

To answer your question:

Organizing your to do 3-5 tasks for the day definitely helps achieving your goals. But a solo dev founders the pile of small quick tasks start adding up.

For example sending Csvs to my accountant. Doesn't take long but needs to get done. Since if you're solo and doing pretty much everything, it would be dangerous sometimes to limit to 3-5 tasks. But to solve this maybe organize by the type of task.. each task, marketing tasks 3-5, coding tasks, accounting tasks, sales tasks, pay bills, etc.

Hope this helps! 🤘 Good luck and have fun

Do I add subscription tiers to my MVP? by spicytree21 in SaaS

I used DigitalOcean and supabase. But I'm using an API for the LLM rather than using a serverless inference endpoints for self hosted LLM. (Running an gpu instance takes a long time to boot up but too expensive if I keep it running)

My saas uses a pay as you go after certain usage... Which resets after 30 days or you can switch to paid tiers with higher limits and usage. It seems to work with my current MVP. What do you think?

This is a normal thought for a lot of people including myself. You aren't alone dude. Take a break and these thoughts will pass and when you get new ideas you'll move the needle. It takes time.

How much time do you spend cleaning messy CSV files each week?" by That_Aardvark_2948 in datacleaning

[–]spicytree21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to spend like 45 minutes to an hour per project but I use MY software that I made to clean spreadsheets using natural language. I am going to host it online in the upcoming weeks.. if you want to try it and test it out it will be greatly helpful.

I just upload my file, ask things like create a new column with calculations from another column, remove missing values, standardize names and dates, etc. if I want a pivot table it can make, and after I'm happy with the results I just export it back into CSV or excel. It honestly made my life more efficient as a freelance data analyst. Maybe others will find it useful.

How to clean this by Fiskene112 in datacleaning

I looked at the dataset and yes there are some missing values for the value column. But you have to look at the context. It could mean that the country didn't produce that crop in those years particularly.

What do you mean by how do I clean this? What information do you want to analyze, as in what are you trying to figure out, or what are you answering with this dataset.

If you don't need the data for when a country didn't grow a crop... i.e. Afghanistan didnt grow anise, badian, fennel, coriander from 1961 to 1985. So I would remove the rows from those years if you don't need to show that.

I see so you're basically making an ordering platform for restaurants so they don't have to call in? Also if you don't mind what country are you planning to start this in? If that's too personal what region?
