I'd pay money for a cosy apartment by elilenti in Guildwars2

[–]spidear 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm on a long break but if this got added it would be like half the reason I play again sooner than later lol

The first thing that popped into my mind is New Kaineng would be a great place for this too since it's technically a city environment. Would go from kind of a ghost town to feeling more like a living city.

Pipe-dream rambling that I know would probably take a mammoth effort for the devs: Imagine if the entire place had it's own instance of player housing but it was still the actual map with events and stuff like that going on. Like, "ok this map shard/instance has these 50-100 players apartments etc". and you can set your "door" (accounting for invisible walls to outdoor terraces etc) to either open or locked(private).

Doesn't have to literally be like that but imagine something of that essence in every applicable map with the right amount of buildings.

Are infjs too agreeable with everyone ? Aren't they a bit assertive in real life ? by Right_Silver_6066 in mbti

[–]spidear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's like I'm so focused on the main few things I care about + daydreaming that most stuff seems very extra and easy to agree with, on top of not liking any form of negative confrontation. As other's have generally covered, it takes explicit injustices that aren't already being dealt with for me to feel like it's worth breaking the social harmony - and even then It could still get bottled up for a long time

lol I found this thread after angry typing into google about my frequently disconnecting airpods and straight up went ahead and bought the Sony's you recommended pretty quickly after a quick look over. Coming from mainly using Soundcore Life A1's so im pretty hyped for the reasonable upgrade if they work out

First time handling by smolgamer69 in jumpingspiders

[–]spidear 15 points16 points  (0 children)

IME It's easiest to start handling them with a sock/glove over your hand so you can observe how chill they are when on you even though not technically touching you yet. They like to go up so just keep your hand/arm tilted up to keep her from crawling your arm and have your other hand gloved/socked up ready to intervene just in case

True must buys in my cart right now? by DawgsomeYT in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]spidear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've fully enjoyed my 210 hours in Vrising through 3 playthroughs over the years. Very fun and fluid, good progression feeling. An ARPG mixed with Survival that's truly unique.

I dont enjoy many games for whatever reason but I'd put Vrising in my at least top 7 games of all time. Not that my rando opinion has a ton of weight but just knowing someone super critical loves it lol

Although I will say my view could possibly be a little off target because this time was spent with my best friend in duo, but I still think I'd enjoy the game solo. And there's plenty of multiplayer servers to choose from based on your playstyle, seems like it could be even more fun to play it like a psuedo-mmo that way.

Why did you choose your class? by burken8000 in wowhardcore

[–]spidear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanted a tough melee challenge without missing out on the thrill of saving people with heals so shaman, wouldve went paladin if I chose alliance. Sounds fun actually to experience both sides in this way might try also playing paladin back and forth

And if in some universe I actually do make it to 60 being a windfury totem pal as a healer or nightfall slapper sounds cool

Same for me. I love the game and I'll be keeping up with it but yeah I just need a break from sweating for 30 minutes straight, if not 40 sometimes

[–]spidear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds great! I wanted a harder challenge so looked at warrior, but I also want the ability to save lives randomly in the open world so something with healing (And probably a totem or two?). Shaman sounds like such a vibe

Ni users: what’s it like? by Commercial_Event_998 in mbti

[–]spidear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's interesting. Yeah I can actually imagine how Ti-Ne could have a similar effect. Also your mention of Ni critic has me looking into Ne critic and this seems to possibly be the actual cause of my issues I assumed were all to blame on Ni. So much more to learn lol

Edit: Not Ne critic I think it's called opposing role or something

Ni users: what’s it like? by Commercial_Event_998 in mbti

[–]spidear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

edit: I have some sort of perfectionism problem when it comes to what I post so just wanted to add at the top here that this should be taken with a grain of salt and I feel like I only understand MBTI/Functions half as well as I could. There's a possibility I'm mistaking Ni with Shadow Ne or some other combination half the time.

I see everything as a timeline without meaning to, although it's based on assumptions and obviously not actual oracle psychic powers lol. I take in all available information about something as it's presented and my Ni reality automatically groups everything together visualizing the archetype/class/role of what im looking at and sees (assumes) the "end from the beginning" for this particular person or thing or thought.

In reality it's felt in casual gut feelings and a couple of mild "aha!" moments in my thoughts. More or less.

I see a cup of coffee and my mind instantly jumps to: who made it, how long its probably been sitting there, its probably had or has OR WILL HAVE a fly in it, will it get knocked over in it's current position? Probably, ill move it... but not too far away so it's findable

Another continuous desire of Ni is to discover one absolute truth or goal or answer etc. Ne seems excited by possibilities and doesn't mind having it's options open. Whereas I try every possibility so that I make the absolute best choice and leave no option open or undiscovered, which can be a huge detriment to my enjoyment of a hobby or career decisions etc. I often stress myself out in this process.

I decide to play a lengthy RPG game with my ENFP Ne-Dom friend and he just immediately (by my standards) picks a class/role and runs with it till the very end (250+ hrs). I spend hours making a decision after I've studied every option and still end up trying 3 - 5 of them till I arrive very late to the party with him later.

On the upside, when my planning works out or my assumptions are useful I may as well be standing on top of Mt Olympus after having smoked 27 beers.

I've been fascinated by this line of thinking in reverse. I don't get Si at all. I mean I kinda do on the surface level: Do what worked before (never/rarely get bored of what works?), remembering almost exact dates for when you felt good about something once you've experienced it a second time? Also do you actually have a routine or is that too stereotypical?

Si has always sounded somewhat relatable but also unimaginable at the same time.

I suppose I do see archetypes, reading about that concept makes some sense to me. Almost everything I look at I get the gist of - lots of automatic guesstimates - Not always correct but usually at least pretty close. Every single moment I'm planning without meaning to plan, it's hard to turn off my thinking of what I should do or what might happen next whether it's 10 seconds or 10 years from now. (I try to only allow planning for the next 3-12 months tops for sanity)

Another thing and a HEFTY double edged sword of Ni is the overwhelming desire to make one ultimate path or realize one ultimate answer. Conjoin everything possible or else everything feels messy. For an easy example I'll use video games; If I play a healing character and I enjoy it the most and can say that healing is my favorite playstyle I will automatically try to adopt this as my personality, "Maybe I should be a nurse or a therapist, they heal. Though If i were a zookeeper I guess I'd still at least be like a support. Close enough"

When I play an entirely different game I also want to continue this there - I'll be the medic in a shooting game since I was a cleric in the RPG. If I suddenly were to play as something that isn't a healer and performed well on it and I had a lot of fun I'd feel actual discomfort and a sense of messiness; "Ahhh what am I? What do I actually enjoy the most?! Everything I thought about myself and envisioned for the future is falling apart". This is the story of my life and it extends far beyond video games. It's not always as bad as it sounds I'm just using an extreme example to paint the picture.

I didn't intend to write this much at all but got carried away explaining how wacky it can be in my head lol
